Airfix Tomahawk Starter/Gift Set Lidl Bargain!

Is it a starter set? A gift set? Or just a normal kit with some extras?
Was once boxed as a starter set, but now on the instructions it calls itself a gift set.

Great stuff! Can't wait to see you build it. I've been thinking of building an Airfix kit the way I did sixty years ago when I was twelve, not touching any of my myriad of tools and paints except a craft knife and a file. Should be interesting!

I have one of these kits also from lidl, I can remember building the original' Kittyhawk' as it was called then ( late 60s) and making a right pigs ear of it. Unfortunately I used oil
paints as this was all I had and it never really dried out, doh! I will try to do better this time, I will probably cut off the wing mounted guns and replace them at the end of the build
with brass tube or wire. Thanks for the review, memories came flooding back, cheers.

Be careful with these starter sets....if its a shop were you are a regular customer and you and the staff know each other then for the love of god ask can you open the box and check....i bought the Tomahawk starter set and when i opened the box when i got home the ONLY thing in the box was the kit.....the instructions,Decals,paints,paint brush and glue were ALL missing
