THis game was amazing. I loved playing it so much but when it got shut down it was pretty sad. It had so much potential and a lot of promise with how well balanced the shapers were as well as the items and map. Just wish it had more support
Hey Sp4zie. I just wanted to say I think its awesome that you're doing a video on Dawngate. I found out about this because I know the person who made all of the map gfx besides the champions. I god a beta key and I am very excited to start playing it. I think its great that you're supporting other games. I'm sure the game developers will love that you are promoting their game! I hope to see more of this game, it looks awesome!
Basically, if everyone has the same number of wards, decreasing the number of wards only changes the way the game is played, it doesn't necessarily make it harder or easier. Making wards a spell means that everyone has to pay attention and ward effectively, and the geography of the map means that "supports" will probably be nonexistent in the first place.
I like the creativity and unique aspects of the map in Dawnsgate. Creating different objectives and factors in a MOBA game should help in further making differentiating games from one another. I appreciate the developers of games such as Dawnsgate and Smite for creating maps that deviate from the standard map that DotA has.
Man the game has changed so much since he took a look at it, the maps different, the way the towers work has been changed, the guardian (nexus) now has a ton of aoe abilities that have to be destroyed one at a time before the game can be ended, then theres the karma system, would be cool to see sp4zie take another look :)

And I am pretty sure there are no companies that sets their goal to replace League, that would be a dumb and rather impossible task to take on. What they're doing instead is to give people who like League (mobas) an alternative game to play that has tons of similarities and a couple of differences.
I love the community for new games especially when they're in beta. Everyone is new to the game and no one ever really bags on anyone. It's so nice to be in a fresh community like that

It looks REALLY interesting and while I do think some characters resemble some LoL champs (Mikella's ult it's kinda like cait's) I think it definitely is a really solid game. They made it different without going crazy with it. I also admire the idea of the 'passives' they have. I like the idea of how some Shapers have no mana costs, while the ones with mana get extra effects like cdr, healing, attack bonuses etc. I'm super excited for this.
its a nice idea to have summoner spells chosen in the game they also sorta had roles to solve gold income troubles one of them is literally spellthief edge+ancient coin,you get gold for minions death and attacking champions and of course,the nexus being a walking creature with an arsenal of superweapons to defend it self

whats teh gameplay like thought meta. thoughts on current state of the game for example i've noticed that there is no one in the game that uses mana. does this make the gameplay flat and spammy? tactics in this game also how long is an average game. also can u talk about the phases. e.i laning and teamfights.
afaik there is no mana stat. The innate passive each Shaper (champion) has decides what resource it uses, the Pure Shaper passive means the SHaper has no resources. There are some other resources like Spirit, Energy and Focus (I think they're called), but no mana

What attracted me to League were its characters. If this game has well-polished and interesting characters, it might be worth my time checking it out.
I must say that the champions in the game are pretty similar to those in LoL in one way or another,for example there is a champion who looks like trynda,moves like him,swings his sword like him,but with the skin of tresh,and ghostly things again like thresh their champions are like copy->paste champions who are a bit mixed up with other champions from LoL and maybe even from Dota/2...

Because moba is a new and popular game genre. It sells. Just like when World of Warcraft came out, everyone started making MMO's because it got popular and it sold. The market in moba's is small which might increase your chances of success.
That's not what I said. I said DoTA was created like a mod for Warcraft 3 which used custom Starcraft map. No, you can't play DoTA in Starcraft but no matter what you do, it will still use a map from Starcraft
This one looks very user friendly and fun. I wouldn't mind trying it out. Altho I doubt i'll trade in LoL for this, like I feel most people wouldn't. Simply because you've already spent so much time in LoL getting champs, runes and such.
Actually mate this should make you happy. When we have more games like this the people will have free choice and the creators will ALWAYS trying to imrpoove the game and make it better than the "rivals" (sorry for my English)
I would wait for the numbers and play it on PBE. Maybe he is even more powerful just with more counterplay. You got much time until this change will be life too. Lucian is on the PBE for months now.
Sp4zie, If you want to try a Moba that really stands out from the other ones out there, try Smite! It is not too different when it comes to the idea (you destroy towers, and base) but it puts you in a 3rd person perspective! This bring a lot more action to the game itself than other Mobas such as League or DotA, and because of that I've become addicted to the game :3 Plz at least try it, maybe even record it! Luve U Sp4z

Actually I tried it, but i got mixed feelings about it. It may be more dynamic, you don't have that clear vision that League offers. The teamfights are also a bit messy because of that 3rd person perspective. The heroes are pretty cool, nothing to say about it. Also, it may be more difficult to see those professional matches because you can't switch the view as easily as in LoL, or it becomes unclear.

I saw this game quite a while ago on another channel and i realy wanted to play it. it looks realy cute and fun. for me it would be a great game if u want to play something else then league for some hours with your friends. it just looks so cute D:
Yes it's free, but no it's only for Windows at the moment :p However I think you can download something which will allow you to play windows games on Mac :)

ive been going through some comments on dawngates closure and clearify that EA took a massive economical hit after Battlefield Hardline failed (and some other titles) witch made free to play games a huge risk. Therefore they cut all their free to play games that they hade in developement. That meant that hundreds of people lost their jobs and dozens of games got cut. Dawngate was just a diamond in the rough that got lost amongst mobile games and movie tie-in games.

Yes, Dota is a WC mod but it takes the map layout from a Starcraft custom map called Aeon of Strife.

i dont think anything like that could have saved it. EA cut all free to play titles after battlefield hardline and some other games failed.
