I would like to point out that in Low ELO the enemy support is far less likely to match your roam, and will just 1v2 your ADC who is far more likely to die because they are low ELO too. I would suggest to stray away from longer roams like heading top until you are in a higher rank and can reliably expect that situation.
I would like to point out that you just have to pick Bard and your adc will know that you will be gone for good so he'll pick ezreal or something with a dash to survive

The roaming strat really does wonders. Ever since I adapted it to my playstyle, you really start to see better results. I'm also fortunate enough in this current split that my ADCs recognize what I'm doing and know at least to farm under tower. This is why lately I don't quite buy into the complaint that playing support is boring because they are stuck in their lane and having to babysit their ADC. That's only partially true. Sure there are exceptions and you won't be free to roam all the time as jungler would but I watch people like Tilterella and wonder why I haven't tried this playstyle before.

This might be the best video you guys have ever released. So in depth, so much useful information and little to no filler. As someone who has been swapping from jungle to support this video is extremely useful. I already did a lot of similar things in this video, but having a better understanding WHY they work as well as learning new things like the 1-3 step brush control are game changers.

Learning support is really just learning a lot of good macro it seems. While the solo lanes teach you about good trade timings and micro, the support will teach you how to outthink your enemy to win
roaming timers are the same, playstyle is different. some trading concepts are also applicable (don't leave your adc vulnerable, don't trade against a big minion wave, etc.)
the reality is that those are not optimal picks, (you depend on your teammates) thats why if you look at the top 100 supports in challenger korea no one plays enchanters or mages, you may have a nicer time in lane but in 5 vs 5 tf, alistar, rakan, rell, braum, etc, have more value, (why?) because their kits can peel and engage, i've watch countless hours of pro lck supports vods, and your job with those champions, for example alistar is peel your adc with Q , W, if he doesn't need it (no enemie is in position to kill him), you engage. TLDR, if you wanna play support like pros and have weight in the game, play those champions, the game is way easier and fun, playing magees like lux, brand, etc, may be easier to win lane, but if the game goes to late game, or the enemy team is not diamond and actually knows a bit about the game, you are going to be in a HUGE disadvantage
I do practically all this. I also do the transition from supporting my ADC to supporting my jungle most games as given in the tip at the 23:16 section of this video. What I find funny is I had Neace FLAME ME OUT for doing this in a game I was playing with him. He was playing Ezreal, he was ahead, he was in mid, and perfectly safe with full health, full mana, and with a outer full health mid tower. With that, I saw my jungle looking for a rotation on an out of position illaoi that just burned everything trying to kill our mid laner who had switched to botside. I move with the jungle, get the kill and saved bot tower. What did Neace do? Push out like a moron mid lane on his own and get popped by the enemy Twitch who was behind in levels and items until that point. All NEACE had to do was play safe for a minute and even he couldn't do that. Instead he flames me on his stream for not babysitting him the entire time. After which Neace literally threw a fit and inted the rest of the game causing a loss. He blamed me for that loss. Point being, even higher elo players don't understand how to supports should be played properly and throw massive fits if the support player doesn't play exactly as they expect them to.
Yeah, I was about to just type that you will see adc players all the way into diamond and above not respecting support roam timers and die solo for dumb reasons. If you can't leave your adc alone then they probably aren't worth to play around as a wincon anyway, and good supports understand who is the team's wincon and work to support them.

THIS IS A LOT TO DIGEST tbh as a support main myself. I definitely learned a lot but I need to slowly digest it overtime..I guess you dont need to make another support video until the start of New season.
Common advice for learning new macro concepts is to take it one step at a time. Find a main, one or two support picks that work for you, master their fundamentals, then come back to this video and set step by step goals for yourself. Challenge yourself in a game going into thinking "no matter what happens, I'm going to make sure I contest the brushes and save my relic charges for Level 2 + 3 powerspike" nothing else matters. Just focus on that for a few games until you start doing it without thinking. THEN move on to going into games with the game plan of "no matter what happens, I'm going to make sure I get my wards down to maintain a solid line of vision on the enemy jungle" and then once that becomes natural instinct to you, then you can look for roam timings on mid when the wave is pushed out. then after that you can look for either roam timings top or for that 8 minute herald roam. Take it step by step and also try to cherrypick what to focus first based on your champion. Maintaining vision, fighting for brush control & roaming for herald are going to be far more useful if you're playing a mage or enchanter support than prioritizing roaming top or mid since more of your gameplan there will be centered around team fights & lane prio over skirmishes mid & top. Also as a general rule, many of the ranged champions in the game hover between 325-335 base move speed while many of the melee champions have between 335-345 which allows them to roam between lanes faster than a ranged champion. One of the biggest examples of that discrepancy is between Pantheon /w 345 move speed and Seraphine /w 325 move speed. So a Pantheon without boots will actually still move as fast as a Seraphine WITH boots.
@@ll-sz9fl Oh, I know, I was just giving a more extreme example between move speeds more for roaming. That 2.5 seconds of 351 move speed on Seraphine isn't going to get you up and down the river faster than the sustained 345 move speed of a Pantheon. So while you might prioritze roams as a Pantheon because he's good at that espeically early game with his point and click cc, you might prefer to focus more defensive concepts as a Seraphine such as warding & aiding your ADC in wave management & taking resets with your ADC rather than roaming so you can both be back out together to poke & maintain lane priority for Drake Control vs. Getting priority mid or top and playing for Herald Control. Perhaps a better example of that discrepancy would be someone like Rell who has 330 Base MS, but has the bonus MS from her E giving her 341 MS at Level 3 without boots further boosted to 360 over 3 seconds when using Full Tilt.
In case anyone is interested in the summoner name Moham, in Korean it is 뭐함, roughly translating to. "what are you doing?", or depending on the situation, "wtf you doing" xD
8:28 Not bad. But I don't recommend purchasing double control wards if you're not playing in Masters+. Item completion is more valuable. Your NA sub Gold team won't use the knowledge vision provides properly to make good decisions. It's just funny to see an enchanter not have a mythic at 15 minutes since they're trying to copy pro play and have bought 10-15 (750-1250g worth of) control wards that get cleared in under 15 seconds.
agreed but i play a bunch of enchanters i usually buy 2 and sit on one for a long time for item completion cause i use my pink ward as a anti dive pink ward so it lives for a long time. After my mythic its buying 2 pinks every recall, i average about 10 pinks a game
disagree entirely. Unless you are bronze vision will always be used by your teammates whether you realize it or not. My winrate shot up after buying 2 control wards at every back because we have perma vision control and countltess ganks dodged, key skillshots hit or dodged, or recalls canceled each and every game from superior warding. If you use your extra control effectively it will easily pay for itself is the point.
12:32 Thank you! I've seen too many times where my adc dives alone! At that point I weigh the rewards of helping my mid or top. That way the adc will either accept they suck or genuinely can't think laterally.
Personally I do, I think it is applicable for any support. Even as a Soraka, I try to go mid even for just an emergency heal for the mid laner or deep vision. I buy swifties everytime instead of Lucidity Boots to get around faster (movement speed on Soraka is OP) but even with the standard boots for enchanters, if your timing is good it is definitely possible.
About roaming - thing is, in low elo most supports roam regardless of wave state, leaving the ADC sometimes in really tough spots and vulnerable for freezes and exp denial which is the worst thing you can do as a support. That is basically making the game a 4v5. Btw, that is also a good reason for why ADCs int when their support leaves bot lane (not that it's just, but it is understandable, your only option left is to go jungle/roam as well and fall behind) So I really don't like the advice "They are bad anyways and can't carry" since most of the people that will view this video will think they roam well and their adc is at fault which is usually far from truth.
"in low elo most supports roam regardless of wave state" this line makes the advice even better such that if youre doing the roam correctly your enemy won't be good enough to do anything about it
21:12 Watching & hearing this right after a way out of luck ranked game last night where I placed a Control Ward in Krugs' bush at MINUTE 6, and the enemy Support "casually" walked through there. And no, he had no vision on me from tribush or whatsoever.
Support has so much influence now. I was hardstuck silver for like 4 years. Then I stopped playing ranked and would just aram on the weekends with friends. Started playing ranked again a month ago for some reason, and easily climbed from bronze 3 to gold 2 playing support only lol. I think my macro in mid lane was just awful. But with support i know my job. Dragon coming up? Go put wards all around it where the enemies would come from. For me, its all about vision. It's all been with anivia support too lol.
I would love to see an enchanter getting this wr. The engagers are always more used than enchanters and I h8 it. When are we gonna see a soraka or sona getting this wr?
in high elo, people kinda sort of know what they doing, they kinda know how every champs work, how much damage they do, they can win trade or not, they farm they do meaningful stuff. Low elo, they just feed, just who is luckier to win tho.
25:00 Min.: IF you play a TANK support yes. But NOT with a mage support. We mage supports be squishy as hell. I not realy often dive. Sometimes yes but this is a more rare case ^^
in bronze .. my elo xD ... @3:00 the enemy with the jungler will just ignore the BIG wave and kill us both .. and it works even if we try to run for it or fight while running .. happens in all my games xD
Besides from Alistar, Rakan, Rell and Pyke (neither of them are my strong champs lol) which support can really use all of this knowledge? I used to play a lot of Thresh and Leona so maybe they're an option? Now I was playing mostly enchanters but I'm not entirely sure how to aply this to enchanters
Telling people to buy 2 control wards on every recall is categorically insane and is extremely irresponsible. the church of LS forbids it, you'll hit your first item at 20 minutes and your soloQ team will do nothing with the vision. Giving the enemy a 100 gold advantage on you every single time you buy one. Buy a control ward before contested objectives, or if you suspect invades from the enemy jungler.
i just started the video and the very first point already dont work anymore like that because the support items is already different now and while i write this riot will probably change the whole game again
the funny thing for me is i finished this vid, went into a game and was able to implement 995 of it, it was the most scripted game i've had in a long time
Why did you tell us in the adc macro guide to swap to toplane and then around minute 20 swap to mid but here we should already swap to mid at minute 14?
Issue with this is when low elo supports try ro replicate this, they most often die during the roam or are way too late to return, that even when u are playing safe as adc you are conceiding 2 plates. At that point i dont even care if ur roam was successful because we lost more than gained and thats still an IF it was successful.
skillcapped: use these tactics and you might actually win your matches , also me: applying those tactics and still hardstuck in bronze where most of my matches people hardcore int, flame and refuse to ellaborate further. also me: understood the assignment skillcapped ok ok all jokes aside, these tipps are helpfull but lets be honest everything below gold is just pure luck. Sometimes you can win the lane and meanwhile your team ints so hard that they just ff or you cant do anything vs a 10/0 mid / jgler i am sry thats our low elo reality :)
I'm a support main. And this video gave me some great advice. I'm in the lowest rank possible, cuz I suck at the game. But I was wondering, what supports has the best roam potential? I imagine it's like Rell, Leona, Thresh, the ones that has a high engage potential? My main supports are Janna, Soraka, Lulu. Should I still be roaming as shown in the video?
Janna, since she got her speedy passive and you can airborne and slow people You roam if your adc recalls but you're still in full health and don't really have anything to buy
It was a nice and helpful video but at the same the player you focused on only plays engage supports. How about showing some love to us bottom enchanters?
i probably already do 80% of this 😭😭 hopefully this video makes up for the missing 20% also does he skip playing Enchanters entirely? Champions with decent roam potential demand you use this agency to create tempo
Question about the Bush control , I've "Completed" step 3 , but the enemy nautilus or thresh all ins me and my ADC farms , what am I supposed to do? its important to highlight scenarios where you're supposed to not pressure from places that your ADC , god forbid , doesn't wanna do anything for but farm.
If you're in too low of a rank where most ADCs afk farm and don't know what right clicking the enemy is, only go for safer poke and look for more opportunities to roam. Babysitting an ADC that won't do anything with a lead is just a waste, so you'll want to try and help lanes that might be able to carry if ahead. This doesn't mean leave the ADC alone all the time, just that any safe time to roam you may want to take.
@@GambitsEnd Great advice! I do roam even when my ADC is ahead due to the fact that Grubs are just so OP , but it's mostly for that laning phase before level 4-5 , where I establish control of the 3rd bush but can't do anything because my ADC doesn't move forward for pressure , and then I forfeit control
My only gripe with this guide is the buying two control wards everytime you can afford them when going back to base. It's 150 gold everytime which can quickly add up
And if 1 in 6 of those wards leads to a kill its worth it. I say 6 because generally its 300 gold + they lose 150 ish in gold+xp. It can easily be even better than that depending on how much they lose while dead. As an engage support it is super easy to get that level of success from vision denial.
@@TurkeyMeat if they are properly used, sure, but, more often than not, they are placed in a bad place and/or with terrible timing (vision provided does absolutely nothing or the ward is destroyed in a couple seconds without earning anything from it) Edit: typo
@@shuraizo2877 sure but if you are actually trying to improve you should watch where high elo people put them and practice it every game, which could see results immediately
@@shuraizo2877 the video also suggested good places to place them and how to use the vision although item completion is indeed more important also if u placed ur control wards well u wouldn't need to buy 2 every base, it only happens in his case because its a Challenger game and vision denial and control is huge and wards are being actively searched and destroyed.

Mythic is more important, it's a power spike, yes, mostly in low elo. Totally agree.
disagree entirely. Unless you are bronze vision will always be used by your teammates whether you realize it or not. My winrate shot up after buying 2 control wards at every back because we have perma vision control and countltess ganks dodged, key skillshots hit or dodged, or recalls canceled each and every game from superior warding. If you use your extra control effectively it will easily pay for itself is the point.
was that a adc cho'gath
i'm not sure how you release a video explaining how to 90% wr to emerald with little effort. God tier video.
Man you answered almost all of the questions I was asking on what to do
in 4 mins i already learned a lot more about Korean challenger level wave control than anyone else...
That is actually good intel, guys! Act on it!!
More support vids on the website pls lol I can't get enough of them
12:32
Thank you! I've seen too many times where my adc dives alone! At that point I weigh the rewards of helping my mid or top. That way the adc will either accept they suck or genuinely can't think laterally.
do you still follow these roam timings when playing enchanters or mage supports?
Personally I do, I think it is applicable for any support. Even as a Soraka, I try to go mid even for just an emergency heal for the mid laner or deep vision. I buy swifties everytime instead of Lucidity Boots to get around faster (movement speed on Soraka is OP) but even with the standard boots for enchanters, if your timing is good it is definitely possible.
yes, playstyle differs but the roaming concepts are applicable
Thanks for this guide, very helpful and detailled. much love
Yet another banger, not even a banger... a masterpiece.
classic level 2, even in emerald. i walk up into enemies and the adc instead engages so we take a fight in their wave lvl 1 -.-
About roaming - thing is, in low elo most supports roam regardless of wave state, leaving the ADC sometimes in really tough spots and vulnerable for freezes and exp denial which is the worst thing you can do as a support. That is basically making the game a 4v5.
Btw, that is also a good reason for why ADCs int when their support leaves bot lane (not that it's just, but it is understandable, your only option left is to go jungle/roam as well and fall behind)
So I really don't like the advice "They are bad anyways and can't carry" since most of the people that will view this video will think they roam well and their adc is at fault which is usually far from truth.
Wow this is a wonderful guide thank you❤
Support has so much influence now.
What impressed me most this video was learning
"Holy shit the target dummies can level up?"
3 minutes in and i already know why i don't climb... there is so much subtle things that gives you an advantage :O
I would love to see an enchanter getting this wr. The engagers are always more used than enchanters and I h8 it. When are we gonna see a soraka or sona getting this wr?
Probably the best support video ever!
im a master 250lp support main , and ill tell you this video is GOOD ! take notes !
Pick a hypercarry "support" and harass the enemy lane so hard that you always get prio and just win lol
I call it midlane botlane. We don't even ADC anymore it's Vex Leblanc duos now to just screw with 'em and we win like 70% of the time
in high elo, people kinda sort of know what they doing, they kinda know how every champs work, how much damage they do, they can win trade or not, they farm they do meaningful stuff. Low elo, they just feed, just who is luckier to win tho.
The video is slightly misinforming @2:30 - RELIC CHARGES on MELEE execute at 50% minion HP, 30% on ranged
What about this season? Now that support item is changed how do you behave with the lvl2 push? The first point of the video
0:15 why is midbeast there?
No way a korean challanger is falling for a lvl 2 suprise. I have gold players in NA walk away when they know they are going to lose the lvl 2
this aren't all challenger games, these are his climbing games
also, level 3 all in it's what the video mostly focuses about
25:00 Min.: IF you play a TANK support yes. But NOT with a mage support. We mage supports be squishy as hell. I not realy often dive. Sometimes yes but this is a more rare case ^^
"HOW MY DRUNKEN UNCLE BEATED ME WITH THE BELT ALL DAY AND NIGHT 76% Win Rate"
Amazing guide! I had to watch it at 0.75 speed because of the amount of information. But super helpful nonetheless
in bronze .. my elo xD ... @3:00 the enemy with the jungler will just ignore the BIG wave and kill us both .. and it works even if we try to run for it or fight while running .. happens in all my games xD
12:14 I totally not rely on that weak minded ADC, the same I can't say for the enemy one for carrying the game
idk if this is a stupid question but can i use this if i *only* play enchanter supports?
Why is it surprising that he’s a support player? Hasn’t Sup been a strong role for a bunch of seasons now?
Besides from Alistar, Rakan, Rell and Pyke (neither of them are my strong champs lol) which support can really use all of this knowledge? I used to play a lot of Thresh and Leona so maybe they're an option? Now I was playing mostly enchanters but I'm not entirely sure how to aply this to enchanters
Mao, Leona, Blitz, Naut, Bard. Thresh is an outdated pick, Naut, Blitz or Ali are way more useful
Buy a control ward before contested objectives, or if you suspect invades from the enemy jungler.
i just started the video and the very first point already dont work anymore like that because the support items is already different now and while i write this riot will probably change the whole game again
the funny thing for me is i finished this vid, went into a game and was able to implement 995 of it, it was the most scripted game i've had in a long time
best guide i've ever seen
bro has a 76% winrate in challenger and i have a sub-50% winrate in bronze
in the rakan vid holding the wave for yone, did yone just push the wave and make it benefical for jayce ?
I highly suggest nit buying that many control wards
Gotta watch this shit before I play rank in wildrift
on my way to GM
Why did you tell us in the adc macro guide to swap to toplane and then around minute 20 swap to mid but here we should already swap to mid at minute 14?
Best support video ever!
isnt 14:21 the same as 18:21, can someone explain the difference?
This is the kind of content we need ❤
Issue with this is when low elo supports try ro replicate this, they most often die during the roam or are way too late to return, that even when u are playing safe as adc you are conceiding 2 plates.
At that point i dont even care if ur roam was successful because we lost more than gained and thats still an IF it was successful.
skillcapped: use these tactics and you might actually win your matches ,
also me: applying those tactics and still hardstuck in bronze where most of my matches people hardcore int, flame and refuse to ellaborate further.
also me: understood the assignment skillcapped
ok ok all jokes aside, these tipps are helpfull but lets be honest everything below gold is just pure luck.
Bard, literally designed to roam
Janna, since she got her speedy passive and you can airborne and slow people
You roam if your adc recalls but you're still in full health and don't really have anything to buy
is skill-capped subscription really that good as described?
Crush+roam also puts adc in xp advantage.. interesting
Does he never stay to get plates? Plates is what stops me from roaming alot of times
It was a nice and helpful video but at the same the player you focused on only plays engage supports. How about showing some love to us bottom enchanters?
I always thought Midbeast is Australian, but I guess he was Mexican all along.
i probably already do 80% of this 😭😭 hopefully this video makes up for the missing 20%
also does he skip playing Enchanters entirely?
Damn amazing video very informative I learned so much and I'm a diamond supp.
Me: *Watch the video* that makes sense, I will try that
at the game: What i was supposed to do again?
Hey, I joined the team yesterday but for some reason I can't login into my account from my phone, only my PC, what can be done about this?
My only gripe with this guide is the buying two control wards everytime you can afford them when going back to base. It's 150 gold everytime which can quickly add up
And if 1 in 6 of those wards leads to a kill its worth it. I say 6 because generally its 300 gold + they lose 150 ish in gold+xp. It can easily be even better than that depending on how much they lose while dead. As an engage support it is super easy to get that level of success from vision denial.
@@TurkeyMeat if they are properly used, sure, but, more often than not, they are placed in a bad place and/or with terrible timing (vision provided does absolutely nothing or the ward is destroyed in a couple seconds without earning anything from it)
Edit: typo
@@shuraizo2877 sure but if you are actually trying to improve you should watch where high elo people put them and practice it every game, which could see results immediately
@@shuraizo2877 the video also suggested good places to place them and how to use the vision
although item completion is indeed more important
also if u placed ur control wards well u wouldn't need to buy 2 every base, it only happens in his case because its a Challenger game and vision denial and control is huge and wards are being actively searched and destroyed.
I just dont like how you have to drastically change your playstyle depending on the mood of your adc
HOLY SHT, THIS VIDEO MADE MY PLAY SO GOOD
Instructions unclear. Reported for stealing my jungler’s cs
20:28 does he have his support item upgraded 9 minutes into the game at lvl 6? he keeps saying trinket ward but his trinket was a sweeper. when do high elo supports usually get their first ward item upgrade?
I'm gold and it's pretty normal to upgrade my support item anywhere between 7 to 9 minutes if nothing goes incredibly wrong for me.
@@batmabel gold adc here and I’ve seen that completed message in the chat (first upgrade) as late as 17 minutes T_T
@@batmabel good to know tho! Ty
9:07 that adc is ballsy (or stupid) to ignore that fulllife blitzcrank
Thank you so much.
A video like this for jungle 🫶🏽
2 pinks every back is such a fraud tip
I think you are even legally required to leave your Cho'Gath ADC as soon as possible. Anything else is just straight up inting.
