@@javierpuentes7854 saw him in Perth a month ago, it was more of a DJ club trio then a band, but it was still amazing, perks of living in the same city as Kevin Parker, especially with quarantine

@@harjotgill6162 yeah i saw him live in 2017 during Laneway which was the full band experience, i really enjoyed the sound system as well this year, it felt more local and home-ish, sorta like being invited to a party, if you know what i mean
Driving home in my car, searching for something on the radio and I hear this song that literally made me think this is John Lennon??? The song was "Elephant" but the DJ didn't say by who. Thankfully the station has a play list you can search online. That's how Tame Impala found me and I have been thankful ever since.
Same but way way back when I heard Lonerism being played in a coffee shop. Thought I was listening to a lost '60's gem. Turned out the owners were from Perth. These little backwaters give artists time and space to create without big city pressures
I got into Tame a few years ago and they're definitely one of my favourite modern bands, Kevin is a musical genius so this was really cool to watch. Great video man, keep up the awesome work
He lives in Fremantle in Perth I’ve seen him walking around a couple of times, one time I saw him whilst I had one of his songs playing, felt pretty weird
Visiting States in 2019 I realised how big this "band" is there. And one of the best concerts I've seen in 2014, up there with Led Zeppelin way way back. Definitely a better stage show!
The way I discovered Tame Impala? My friend said they were going to a show. "It's psychedelic music, not sure if you're interested" I'm a huge fan of psychedelic music!! So we went together. It blew me away. This was 2011. Still one of the best shows I've been to.
I've long heard _about_ Tame Impala but, as far as I know, I've never actually _heard_ Tame Impala. must be time to sniff around the interwebs and listen to some.
My favorite channel that talks about my favorite classic band is now covering my favorite modern band. You're fucking awesome, HollyHobs, and have great taste in music. Thanks for the content, mate.
Get your facts right dude, dom doesnt play bass live, Cam does. Kevin studied Engineering, then switched to Astronomy. For the sample, Kevin got an email first then took it to instagram saying they had 3 days to fire their musicologist. Good job on the rest though
Waching anything concerning kevin makes me icredibly jealous of him and the things he has done and it reminds me that such a path won’t be walked by me
never heard of him before,i notice he has beatle guitars and a hofner bass,so he must be like us (started wanting to be a beatle as a kid lol) and like us does all his own music recording,,so yes ill give him a good listen, thank you my friend..stu
Covering artists from all decades is an awesome decision. I could talk about the Beatles and learn things about the Fab four all day long, eight days a week, but your passion and enthusiasm for music shouldn’t be limited to genres! I love this channel sir!
Hey thanks so much for doing a vid on Tame Impala. I think they're, i.e., Kevin Parker, is the top musical force out there right now. I saw them last year at The Forum in L.A. (well, Inglewood) two days before lockdown kicked in and it was one of the very best concerts I've ever been to (and I've been to at least 200 over the last 45 years) and it was literally the best SOUNDING concert I've ever heard and the best light show I've ever seen. Outstanding concert, outstanding music. It was AWESOME.
i thought that was charles manson in the thumbnail ha ha ha i compared the two but his face is wider but yeah i have no idea who this is but i guess it couldn't hurt to look
the only reason i know the name Todd Rundgren is because his song 'international feel' made it into Daft Punk's Electroma film, oddly enough, Tame Impala also covered this song as well
Tame will go deep down in musical history ... I am so blessed to be alive at the same time as him. He has some of the best sounds I’ve ever heard ...
I agree with everything in this video but I’ve never heard anyone call him Jim Morrison to me he’s more of a Brian Wilson.
To me he seems like Paul McCartney’s songwriting style with John Lennon style vocals
Yeah I don't get the Morrison comparison at all. Music isn't even close to the same & Jim was more of a dark, somber poetic type.
I didn’t think you’d ever start doing more modern artists but I’m happy you are
same lmao
“Did you know it’s all one guy?”
I would hope so. Kevin does it all except when on tour
I've seen him live and it sounds identical to the records. His live band are spot on you wouldnt think it's just one guy on the record
For sure! I saw him in Toronto and it’s absolutely amazing

Absolute legend and idol
Very Excellent!!!

Dom is lead my guy
I don't think Jay Z, Kanye and Lil Wayne are R&B lol
Currents is a modern day Dark Side Of The Moon
Love Kevin's music! Great video!
Could you cover the Fleet Foxes?
Do Radiohead!!
Nangs hahah
Tame Impala was better when they were an actual band. The first album rules.
