Ben is very taken with the first album by Californian sample sensation DJ Shadow. Which other albums of 1996 have the guys been listening to?

Ash - 1977. That's pretty good. Very front heavy, with the 1,2,3 punch of Lose Control, Goldfinger and Girl From Mars. I liked James Hargreaves breakdown of Goldfinger where he shows how complex it really is with it's chords

I don't want to be mean, but I find the Placebo front person's voice grating. That high pitch buzz, I can't stand it.

@@shoegazer93 you can be mean if you like! I agree that it is that kind of voice. Not my favourite type of vocal, but I was just surprised that the music was better than I remembered it.
