It's kinda funny how the best thing that happened to WoW lately is this community-made game mode.
Genuinely. It's honestly great and show that the passion for WoW is still there among the fans
Well it exists in ascension. They also do mythic versions of the raid. Those people are nuts.
@@maxpowers4436 Complicated doesn't necessarily mean good. Some of the best games are simple at their core. Take the Souls games, for example. They are actually quite simple, yet incredibly fun. I’ll take simple and fun over “more skill” any day.

my favorite part is watching people run away, but keep doing damage to the mobs so they don’t stop leashing from them. it’s fucking gold

In Hardcore, Silithid hives are really close to the #1 spot of "Places you must not go." Seeing people going there alone in Hardcore at level 50 + is totally surrealist xD

@@aidaninsua No worries man. There is a reason why the average level of hc is like 12 or 13. 😂 You did well all things considered. I’ve been doing hc with kargoz and grays since before classic tbc and the highest I gotten was like 22 on an undead warrior until my current human warrior which is cozily sitting at 34 in hillsbrad. Take it slow and grind mobs for levels every now and again so you can comfortably do quests for better rewards! I’m actually going questless and dungeonless. Been extremely chill! Cheers

3:09 the good part is he would have barely survived if he was fully healed, because he took less damage then max health, but he was just too confident
They use petri flask & leave group so it auto teleports them out after 1 minute (petri lasts 1 min). They were not scurrying and panicking, or maybe they were, but that's why they all leave group.
True hardcore experience clicking your abilities in every clip.
It's why I stopped playing MMO's. I played Elder Scrolls Online as my last one, and it is a true showcase of just how bad the average MMO player is at gaming. I learned most MMO players don't even like gaming, they just use these as a slightly more advanced auto-clicker with their brain turned off.

These HC videos are a countdown to Asmon doing his own HC character. I don't have a lot of faith in him actually getting past 30 despite his in-game knowledge but it'd be fun to watch nonetheless

btw asmon can be bad or slow sometimes but he have clue about the risks of the game

That because these are scenarios that all veteran wow players gone thru. We’ve all died to dumb shits like these before, or can at least relate to past experiences.
I don’t play wow anymore, but I don’t know if I can make it to 60 with HC. And I’m quite positive asmon can’t either.
Because this classic leveling experience can be so mind numbing after a while, there’s no guarantee what kind of stupid shit your mind will make you do.
Especially for people entering middle age who starting to have problem focusing for extended periods of time.

That’s me at 14:09. I don’t regret calling for our pally to bubble so soon instead of having a skulled mob hit her for too long. The warrior got bop’d and then I had distance after the blink to cast poly and r1 frost bolts which all resisted. The nova landing was lucky in the end. Nonetheless, having an asmongold face palm reaction to my clip is pretty awesome.
To me you did a good job keeping folks cool and collected, deserved the W if anything.

There's an old test taking strategy I remember from high school for matching sections - when it comes down to two blanks left and you're absolutely sure of everything else, put the same answer for both so you guarantee yourself at least one point instead of risking getting both wrong.
I feel like the same thing sort of applies to trying to run between two mobs - just run entirely toward one instead of risking aggroing both. At least that's what I've always done.

WoW is really fun but time consuming. Worth playing if you know how to limit yourself / wouldn't play the retail version if you're new. The older stuff was made for a wider audience so it's more accessible and a little more fun.

These are the best thing to come out of WoW since Barney's Scarab Lord vids.
As a years long player of Realm of the Mad God, an MMO with perma-death built in, Asmon is right, these people should have been prepared, every encounter should be taken seriously as even a small slip up can mean hundreds of hours lost. And if you go into a dungeon without the proper gear, that's 100% on you.
Me and my night elf warrior are doing decent so far, level 18 and I’ve only had one near death encounter with goddamn murlocks 😂

The upshot of dying embarassingly in hardcore like this is at least you can make it on a compilation like this. Then your character can be immortalized more than it would have been otherwise.

Only classic wow awards you with an item (arena grandmaster) that increases a stat by 1% and considers that useful.
The explanation for these mistakes is that WoW players in general tend to look for shortcuts and ways to make content quicker or easier, and this sort of thing is detrimental to doing a hardcore run. Jumping off a cliff as a shortcut or pulling too many mobs or running a dungeon is tempting because it may get them to their goal a lot faster, but it might also end in ruin. It's the same reason people tend to like to invest in risky stocks and drive far above the speed limit, but the fact that there is little punishment for that behavior in normal WoW runs means that the WoW player is far less likely to be able to resist the temptation. It requires a lot of self control that not everyone has.

This isn't just death bias videos. Anyone playing HC sees how many people die every night before even level 20...to things they know to watch out for. And they do it...consistently.

I used to solo that grp quest in vanilla back in the days (12:20), as long as one is cced for a while it's okay, then you run away and heal up, go back and finished the last one - watch for respawns tho
Not sure if it's as easy nowdays, do they have hyperspawning?
I had my own sticky feet adventure back before azeroth flying, made my way onto the airfield above ironforge, took forever and a few falls into the lava pit with the alter that we fly past in burning steeps
I remember doing that quest on my subtlety rogue, the falconcrest guy hit way too hard. i had to come back later for his head :D
You can get killed from bugs from the game, agro from other players, respawns, layering, greifing, so I don’t know why ppl don’t play way safer. There are already too many risks let alone not playing smart and safe.

alot of these players die from sheer cowardice ahaha, they can beat the mob but it might get them a bit low so they proceed to panic run into 2 other mobs get dazed then die
Actaully people running in dungeons and raids and stuff reminds me of like military tactics like when one person starts to panic and run, entire armies would as well and it can turn from a fighiting force into a rout in an instant. thats why cowardice was so bad because you could lose a battle because 1 person lost it and ran

I've leveled through Wotlk classic as a warrior but never played much Classic era and I am curious as to why Warriors prefer to level arms over Prot.
Prot seems to have better survivability as well as the ability to take more than 1 mob without exploding. Might be my lack of knowledge but was just curious.

Complacency might be the biggest killer in hardcore classic wow, but I'm starting to suspect that using Questie is at least 2nd place. SO many clips where someone's doing a quest with that addon that is a quest they should 100% not be doing at their level/gear/consumes/etc.

I think with the dudes going up against open world elites, or running dungeons or mass pulling mobs as a Mage have what I call Retailitis. The genuine surprise when they die is delicious.

You can Life Tap yourself to death. Its tricky to do, but totally doable. If you regen the exact amount of health for a Life Tap, after depleting from Life Taps( or from whatever brings your health low), it will kill you. Ive only done it twice after many times trying over the years.
