Yes. We are over 50% vaccination rate, and the mask mandate has been lifted. But obviously some places are either playing it safe or are just used to operating like this now.

Not that there is anything wrong with continental breakfasts... Best continental breakfast I ever had was at The Edwardian Hotel in London; huge, delicious selection of items. ;-p
I think she was trying to point put how Covid has changed how breakfast is served in hotels now. I found it quite informative and clearly gone are the open trays of food and now everything seems individually wrapped and more hygienic than it use to be. Some things were the same, but it's clearly not as it was before. I'm giving you a thumbs down for being negative, sarcastic, humorless, and mansplaining.

I'm a big fan of continental breakfasts myself - why spend money I dont have to... and they're generally quick and convienent when you need to get on the road. Wafflemakers are great - pancakes so/so - eggs usually horrible unless you're at a place where they're made to order. I'd love to try a UK breakfast - maybe I'll get there someday. My daugter spent a week in Ireland with college and she had trouble finding food - I'd have no trouble trying new things :-)
Look at all that waste that will end up in land fill, or worse in some 3rd world country, I thought it was all about climate change and saving the plant. It disgusts me to see the amount of it. Given how low the risks are to health people under 65, these sort of measures are not the sort of thing we should be doing.
While I don't really agree with the age thing, it has been discovered that air transmission is the main transmission factor of covid over contact (particles sitting on surfaces) transmission which represents a very low number of infections Which means that the main risk isn't that much with objects/food being touched by people and picked by others, but rather people sitting closely in an enclosed and badly aired area That's why at least where I live up until a few days ago breakfast rooms weren't allowed and places had to do room service of already prepared platters The environmental aspect is indeed real tho and will likely suffer a lot from the pandemic unfortunately :/
