6/18/21 - just got the 17” black bag with red tags and couldn’t figure out how to use the USB port. This particular model doesn’t have the internal zipper storage for the power bank. Instead there’s an elastic inside pocket, and crammed way up high, a tiny slit between the side panel and the sunglasses compartment. It’s very small, only big enough for the thicker end of the included USB wire to fit thru. Once you slide that end down into the hole, you have to fit/press it up into the outside casing. Be careful not to snag the material as you do it as it may block the port. Attach the other end to your power bank and store in the elastic inside pocket. Hope this helps.

Do you know how to make it charge stuff without being plugged in it won't charge my phone and laptop unless the backpack is plugged it I let it charge over night but it won't charge my stuff unless the backpack is plugged in hopefully it makes sense

The backpack itself has no electronic part. The usb port is effectively just a hole to pass the cable/s through
