  • This is exactly how I start teaching all the dogs I work with how to walk nicely on a lead! Works every time.

Thank you very much, great explanation. I started using a sliplead with my 5 month old labrador and he is doing great. The only difficulty is when there are other dogs approaching, he still wants to go towards them. Do you have any tips on that? Thanks!

Hi Ben. How do you lure a dog that’s not food oriented? I have and English Springer, he’s got better in terms of pulling but he’s far from perfect. He needs refining and because the food doesn’t interest him this isn’t an option. I try a ball or other toys but these just overexcite him.

My question isn’t even related to the training which is excellent showcase of how to properly use ‘Tools’ not to harm but to guide the dog, I personally use a Prong collar on my GSD because I tried a slip and he would just bulldoze trough it and choke himself after a few weeks my dog doesnt need it anymore and I can easily take him anywhere no problems at 6 months of age , the real question here is what shoes are those I like them
