Ive had the Asics Novablast 4 for nearly 4 weeks and they are the best runners ive had. Ive always been an Asics man and I've usually gone with the Cumulus Gel series. Several weeks ago i decided on a change and ordered a pair of Hoka Clifton 8's. Im so glad Hoka do a 30 day trial and return. After wearing them 3 times i returned them. They were/are awful running shoes. They hurt my arches and the front of my feet ached. So, i went with the Novablast 4 and boy am i in running heaven. They are a brilliant shoe. Plenty of bounce but a decent amount of firmness also. Slow runs and fast tempo, they are ticking all boxes in the early weeks of running in them. Im currently training for my 5th Half Marathon which is in September. Hoping the Novablast carry me through to then. Im confident they will.
I have to say that the novablast 4 is an amazing update. I found myself yesterday thinking “is this pretty close to the superblast 🤔🤔🤔🤔”…that’s how much it’s improved. Superblast needs to be run hard to enjoy it. Otherwise just get the novablast..it’s pretty good now
@@too2810when ff turbo is breakin in. It's getting softer. It's happen in mine as it already got 500km. So i get the Second pair. Because when SB getting softer, it's start losing energy return. It's feel nicer on foot actually. But, not for my HR. It's increasing my heart rate when it's getting softer.
Been running in the NB3 for nearly 6 months now and thinking of getting new daily all rounders (long zone 2 runs, tempo runs and long runs) and am torn between the NB4 and Super Blast
If you're an intermediate runner and you have £250 to spend on running shoes it might be money better spent, in terms of running versatility and experiences, to get the NB4 and a trail shoe. Maybe the Speedgoat 6 or Challenger 7? Nice little two shoe rotation! Superblast seems more geared towards marathon runners.
Sounds like I need to try the superblasts. Good to hear someone else agrees the novablast 3s are an absolute dead zone. They just take all the fun out of a run by absorbing everything (including motivation) and giving back nothing. And I loved the 2s.
Yeah, I found that it lost all the responsiveness after about 100km's in. Was really disappointed which makes me so weary in wanting to try the Novablast 4's
I have both. The superblast is a much better shoe. I have it for some time and the experience changed. At first it was hard for me to run in them. Lacking muscles. But it grew on me and now I can run all long runs in them. Not for racing, but for all the rest. The nb4 is great for all slow runs, up to long distance. I would not run 20k in nb4. But I did in superblast. For 10k ish efforts, nb4 is perfect.
Bought the Superblast, but even after 80km I don't enjoy them. The shoe is very rigid, difficult to get a good lock-in at the heel and making my arch cramp a bit. Also feels clunky with this huge sole. Can't relate to the positive comments in the review.
Thanks for the review, but you failed to mention durability(Superblast spefically) as a lot of people have commented on other influencers channels that the outsole is poor, and they are basically goosed after 300 miles, which is not really good enough for a daily (super?) trainer at the heavy price they cosr.
So what about a new runner. I don't run at all, and the next goal is to be able to run 5km 6km in the next 12 months but I do plan to run a 14km charity marathon at thr end of the 12 months as well. Which one of the two would you suggest?
I love love love my superblasts, just went out for a tempo run and knocked off 3 minutes 15 seconds off my 10k pb without necessarily trying. I ordered mine on Amazon and thought they were going to be red but they came bright pink, lol. I have a hoodie with pink and rock the superblasts with it. I’ve had compliments on the pink ones, I’m going to buy another pair. I love how I become 5’10’’ in them too, lol. The best shoe.
Amazing video, but I was wandering, when you say that superblast is great for marathon training, what we go for the marathon race day after train with superblast
I bought a pair of the SB and they are SO stiff. After two runs, both of which ended with knee pain (not a usual problem), I think this whole category is out for me.
Fr tho if these companies would make these type of shoes in “lifestyle” friendly colorways, they would straight put most of Nike and whatever else out of business. You’d never see a Nike Dunk on feet again 😂
Not a fan of high stack cushy runners Was gifted the NB4 Gave them spin on a recent recovery day SOLD SOLD SOLD Disappointed wasn’t gifted them sooner Now if someone will gift me the SuperBlast
I agree with the novablast being a better deal, arguably the best deal in the running game. Where our opinion differs is the Superblast, I don’t think the price difference between the 2 justifies someone wanting super over the nova.
??? Why compare superblasts when they are no where to find & purchase??? World shortage. Are they making more??? P.S I live in New Zealand so just looking here an australia websites

Yes agree with everything but they run half a size big
@@NikhilonYT I'm a size 11 and I have a size 11 ASICS Novablast 4 and they're fine. They fit true to size. But, all feet are different.
I’ve recently purchased the novablast 4 and they are one of my favourite shoes I’ve ever had 👍

Just bought a pair of the NB4. Almost at 400 miles in my SB. Amazing lineups.
What color
@@winger9229 Black color way with blueish midsole
How do you use them together? Cant you do everything in the Superblast?
Got the superblasts for christmas. It is really an amazing shoe. It is an absolute joy running in them.
Biggest issue with the Superblast is finding them in stock in a colourway that doesn’t look awful 😅
Haha same for me, all my size and favorite colour are out of stock
Same problem for me also, aquamarine color is out of stock right now 🙄
Just got sunset red 😅
@@PeterMurrayj me to whoop whoop
Same 😂
Im on my 2nd pair of super blasts. Love them.
Did you notice any difference in the feel? I loved my first pair but my second pair the foam feels much stiffer

Superblast is amazing. Just wondering what they will do with V2 🎉?
Probably an upper update
Probably ruin it.
New upper and new foam. FF Turbo+
the new colours look amazing too hopefully they come out asap

Which one do you think would be better for 5 and 10K training

Superblast is a fantastic shoe, does anyone know where there is currently any stock available?
Is the superblast overkill for easy to faster 5 or 10k or is it that versatility that means it can do it all?
It can do it all really
looking for a good runner that will help me deal with my constant plantar fasciitis which asics would be the recommend?
Does your superblast “sound” as you walk or run? Like the material is stretching
Superblast is a much better shoe.
but then again during black friday sales you could’ve gotten novablast 3s for almost a third of the price
@@Lucky-lp8doand? Running is cheap

But It's also much more expensive.
£135 vs. £195. They both are priced sensibly.
Disappointed in the Novablast V4. Was hoping that it would have that magic that V1 had.

The Novoblast has MUCH better durability - important to consider when comparing them.
People online seems to say that superblast is more durable?
Is 150 pounds in hk. 10% off too if buy two pairs

Pro 3 or meta speed sky+
I have a low arch but I want to get these shoes for the cushion. Should I still get it or go with a support shoe for my over pronation? Thanks

Why does Asics have the most hideous color options? Is a blind person designing them?
Color blind maybe

The outsoles in these don't have the best grip in wet conditions.
