    The lieutenant, played by Fredd Wayne, would go on ,ten years or so later, to play Benjamin Franklin in the TV series ' Bewitched '.

      Fredd was touring the country with a one-man show in which he dramatized Franklin's life by acting as him (similar to Hal Holbrook's "Mark Twain Tonight!"). Bill Asher, Liz Montgomery's husband- and producer/director of "BEWITCHED"- saw one of his performances, was impresed, and invited Wayne to appear as Ben in a two-part episode {"My Friend Ben"}.

    1 to 14 years is a harsh sentence, compassion should have been shown by the judge!

    The moral of the story is if we had Medicare for all this crime would not have happened.

    Sally Blaine, who played the nurse, was Loretta Young's sister.

    Interesting story line, creating sympathy for the guy breaking the law.

    So sad indeed young people die of illnesses, while others throw away their life so stupidly, drinking, blowing, "shooting", speeding on highways... listening to (c)rap...

      chuckroast01 It's not because Iron Maiden sang "Only the good die young" that this statement makes sense...

      @@chuckroast01 " anyways " ??? the word ' anyway ' never has an 's ' at the end.

    A 1 - 14 years sentence is rather harsh for a father who wanted to spend his daughter's final months/week/days in Hawaii. Extenuating circumstances and all,

    • @fromthesidelines
      @fromthesidelines Месяц назад

      Because of the circumstances, I believe he was released after serving about a year of his sentence.

    Before the Internet and e-mails, there were pneumatic tubes, which transmitted messages by way of air.

    • @ckom0007

      They still exist, and work very well. We have them in our most modern hospitals. They are used to swiftly send blood samples throughout the building. Try that with email!

      Years ago Paris used them to send mail between local post offices. The Paris pneumatic post was a pneumatic tube message-carrying service that operated in the French capital from 1866. It was established because of the ‎History · ‎Beginnings · ‎Opening to the public
