    Awesome vid Zac, look forward to seeing your breakdown. I thought Tobin had it with how big of a gap he had when lap cards came out.

      Thanks Alec, I knew we would speed up at the end but man he made it come down to wire. His power was insane, ~400w average 😂

    Love the break down comment mate - no time to sit and watch an hour but skipping to the interesting bits is awesome. What an absolute beast of a hill that is eg 7:41 - man alive doing that for an hour would get your anaerobic fitness going innit!?
    Is that a kid wearing pants and a tshirt in the race at the start? Looks kinda dodgy?
    41:47 crash is kinda what happens when you're on your limit and then have to accelerate to hold the wheel. How did the crashees finish up? Nothing broken I hope? Glad they were far enough away from you that you didn't get mixed up in it. (Needs more rear cam, buddy!!)
    48:52 fark that water right on the apex gives me the willies. Not good.
    Just did my end of block 2 x 20' test on the trainer - 16C with the fan on outside, your weather looks better than the end of our Aussie summer already :-/
    58:14 - WOW! Eamon disappears. What a move. No wonder you wanted his wheel... Fark that pedal strike even though I knew it was coming - scared the sphincter out of me. Glad you made it around in one piece. Are you going to chuck some power overlay up later? I want to see the pain numbers :D

      LOL ya this weekend is a real good workout. We have another hilly crit this afternoon. Yup the pants kid was wheelieing and having a good time, pretty funny/ random. And ah I think a couple people broke collar bones, kind of a bummer, someone went down because of my pedal strike at the end, felt terrible about it. I knew Eamon was going to do that at the end and it was exactly what I wanted to do, oh well, thats racing. Probably would have been about a 1 in 1000 chance I could follow him but it would have been a good leadout

      @@ChainlessTV knowing who to follow and when to go is 90% of the race, so you're there. Keep going!!

    I don't reckon I would ever do that race without specific training for it - that hill is just too anaerobic imo. You had the right move on that last lap, looks like engine room failure but? Great video man, love it.

      @ChainlessTV  Год назад +1

      Specific training is definitely the play for this race, I wish I did some 😅 being able to sprint once ever minute and half is pretty unique. I had to check up for a milisecond going into the hill because of that slowing project 74 rider and I lost a little bit of momentum. I dont think I had the win in me but I think I had a podium but that pedal strike was pretty gnarly, I thought I had a flat back tire after it

    • @ChainlessTV
      @ChainlessTV  Год назад +1

      But ya also engine room failure 🤣

      @@ChainlessTV that guy that came past at one point could have really done well if he stopped pedaling with his shoulders and used his legs more. Good grief haha

    Dude, how did that guy at 5:07 careen off the road? Maybe mechanical?? And your clipped pedal 👀😬 haha. If it looks like that on the GoPro, you got some hangtime 🤣.

      So there were a few spots on course that had water flowing off the hillside and between turn 1 and 2 I think the water had formed algae and that is like ice. Once he got in it, there basically is no way of saving. It was pretty sketch, I kept a wide birth from there the rest of the race

      @@ChainlessTV ah ic that makes sense. Yeah it looked like he had no control at all. Oof 😬
