- You can start building a collection of collected editions using some of, or all, the books in this guide! If they're OOP, they will have collected editions in TPB available. Books included in this video: Iron Fist, Miller Daredevil, Waid Daredevil, Planet Hulk, Punisher Max by Ennis, Punisher marvel Knights by Ennis, Wilson's Ms. Marvel, Slott's Silver Surfer, Aaron's Thor, Millar's Ultimates

I've been wanting to get into the Punisher comics lately. The two max omnis, Marvel Knights and both current volume runs are on my radar. So glad you included them in your video. 👍

I accidentally picked-up DareDevil by Mark Waid for $10 at the local comic book store. I did not realize that it was signed by Sammne. It was signed to someone named Javier in 2013. I found this out by looking at the dusk jacket under my video magnifier.

Excellent guide for everyone who wants to start collecting omins or trades of some of the most exciting characters from the Marvel unsíverse. Thanks so much for bringing to us your suggestions, Jess. I would like to take this opportunity to talk about Frank Miller's Daredevil run collected in the first Omnibus. The Daredevil stories from him are really awesome but what I missed in the omni is a introduction to it (about what has happened before) and the missing issues which are not collected there but are necessary to understand the whole story arc. Due to the lack of the missing issues, the story seems a bit fragmented

Personally I got recently in to collecting omnis, and these past few days read that some of the ones I have put my eye on to buy may be getting out of print all of which were Marvel.
So now I will try to buy a few of the ones I had in my wishlist for example the Punisher, Daredevil, Thor Heroes Return 1 & 2 and hopefully the rest will remain in print for the upcoming months.

Great video Jess. Is there any chance for a reprint of SS by Slott, Allred omni in the recent future. Some people really hate the run and the omni others (like me) love it.
since it's so new, I would think that a reprint might be a couple years away. There are complete collections out for it though
I’m debating between Mark Waid’s run on daredevil and fantastic four. What would you suggest of the two?
Oh man, those are 2 completely different runs. I guess my choice would be FF but try to read his DD at some point too!!

kiara wicklander nothing really. I’ve seen hardcover and softcover compendiums and omni’s. They’re both just complete collections of that particular subject.

I feel like the best places to start are either from the very beginning, The Ultimate universe, or with big events from the 2000's such as Avengers Disassembled, House of M, Civil War and the likes.
I bought Planet Hulk and now I'm trying to decide to buy either the Guardians of the Galaxy Abnett run or the World War Hulk omni. Which would you recommend?
Hooooo, that's kind of a tough comparison. I think that the Abnett run on GotG is considered the more "classic" run, so I would go for that. WWH is very good though....
Planet Hulk Prelude is included in the omnibus for Planet Hulk

Does the punisher max explicit content have nutidy?
You never explained why thor by stan Lee is hard to read ? I never had difficulty with any of the early work and stories can be more simplified in that era. However I get why for modern audiences why the modern books are better starting points but I just think if a comment is made it has an explanation otherwise good vid for newbies.
ok, that's a fair point. I found it difficult to read since the style he wrote it in was supposedly ancient Norse but read like ancient Celt or English. Either way, very hard to read for me.
I hope Marvel reprint all Xmans and Xforce one day...
