When were victims of abuse, we create a connection with the abuser. Specially if its someone we loved. We still wish that person to be kind and to be good person. We don't want to belive in the abuse and we feel ashamed. I recentelly watched Elite season 4 and Mencia's storyline broke me. The scene where Rebecka looks at her and realises she's about to get raped is really scary. She was getting sexually exploited and Armando was threatning her when she refused to have sex with him anymore. It hurts me how many minors are being victims of this.
It happened to me 5 years ago by my so called friend I had known for years and it’s still traumatises me when I want to make love to my so sweet and gentle boyfriend.. I don’t deserve him.. he’s so good to me and helps me when I’m having panic attacks..

I feel like this song could be used for any form of abuse, not just rape. My dad physically and emotionally abuses me and yet I still stay. I’m lying to myself every time I think he’ll get help and change. But he abused my mom, and now me. It’s sick, and depraved. What kind of man would hurt his own daughter? Because he can.
