This video saved me from torturing myself about why the fuel delivery was out of wack. I used another guide first and tightened everything waaay too much. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart.❤
This video came in handy! I’ve been having issues with my 2022 Elantra N. Just replaced my fuel pump using your video. Hopefully it fixes the issues I’ve been having. Any chance you could do a video on injector replacement? Those also seem prone to have issues on the Elantras.
Very nice info! The thing I dont understand is why they didnt put the fuel system the same as the 2.5t from the sonata N line!? where it has 8 injectors
@@MurphysLawGarage Sounds good, thanks for the quick response. Do you have the part # for it? My browser won't let me access the ebay link you provided.
@@MurphysLawGarage I've noticed a range of prices for the pump, from $200 up to $600. Is there a way to tell if it's a genuine part that's not used? Would hate to cheap out and get a fuel pump that may destroy my car. Did the one you ordered in our ebay link appear brand new?
Sorry but I’m new to this. So if my HPFP isn’t good or so as my car has recall, I can do bad MPG and the fuel isn’t really staying well? Because my N is bone stock and I do mix of highway and freeway like 200 miles maybe lesss.. lol but yes I have recall and waiting remedy. what you think of my situation sorry?
@@MurphysLawGarage so what happens when I upgrade the HPFP, sorry? Sorry I’m just new to all this and have no experience into doing any of that. I usually just wait for recall and let dealer do it but idk if they will put upgraded one for my HPFP or what they will do for this recall. Let me know. Thank you again.
@@MurphysLawGarage well, what the purpose of upgraded HPFP for someone who don’t know what this is for? Like is it worth upgrading if I’m not tuning my car? Like is it gonna change my MPG and be better fuel efficiency?
@supergzeyad4226 it supplies more fuel to the injectors. It does not change your fuel economy, its meant to ensure the motor doesn’t lean out and blow up the under heavy use.

You’re very welcome
Super informative. Your commentary reminds of of the old Spike TV watching guys build cars explaining everything their doing. You rock!
Thank you. I’m glad we could help.
Good video. I know I can do this. I will be ordering and installing my pump before installing my HKS plugs and lap 3 1.5 tune.
Go for it!

If Jake decides to upgrade the injectors, we will.

Port and direct injection is always wise. It keeps the valves clean and the head cooler. Probably a cost cutting measure.
@MurphysLawGarage ya a dumb cost savings for their so called race cars!
Nice video. BTW, did you feel anything different/better after installing the upgraded HPFP?
No difference in the car
I have an intake, turbo inlet and full 3" catback exhaust with the stock tune., should I replace the fuel pump, or am I okay?
I’d do it regardless due to the high failure rate and low flow of the stock pump. The larger pump gives you more headroom before catastrophic failure.

@LeftenantMalachi no problem- 35320-2gta0

@LeftenantMalachi it was brand new and genuine. It shouldn’t be more than $300
Do you guys think this is necessary if I just have a JB4 piggyback and a cold air intake?
Necessary, no, smart upgrade to ensure engine safety even on a stock car - yes
@@MurphysLawGarage Thanks!
Does this fit the Kona N?
Yep. Absolutely the same.
Yep

You can upgrade it - Hyundai wont be able to tell it was modified.

No tune needed, it just works. I can’t answer the rest, do what makes you comfortable
