Was anyone else super irritated about the last episodes of mlp turning Sombra into an annoying emo teenager? I've always thought of him as quiet, mature, powerful, and a lone wolf.

All the villains in the last season felt too cartoony in my opinion
Season 9 would have been so much better having them with their og personalities (specially if they were based on the comic books) and replacing cozzy glow with sombra. I think he could have even been reedimed

His personality was surprising at first, but then became irritating very quickly. Sorry for the harsh words, but if they were going to do that to him, maybe they shouldn't have brought him back in the first place.

i thought i was the only one who thought that- i thought his personality and everything would be powerful and mature, similar to a fan animation i watched called “Fall of the Crystal Empire” or something like that (correct me if i’m wrong). his voice also doesn’t really fit him that well, but that’s just my opinion. i thought it’d be more “demonic” and deep
Well, what if he decided that seducing Twilight, who was the most powerful of Mane Six, would be a better plan than fighting with them all?🤔
He could manipulate her into believing that everything others said about Sombra was a big lie or something, that he is just a wise, but lost soul, that can't resist bad magic. Then make her fall in love with him, so she take his side. Then, Sombra would use his dark magic on her and brainwash Twilight, made her turn into his very own devoted marionette, and later his queen.
With Twilight on his side, he could actually win to be honest.
This is a theory I could get on top of
Exactly a move I think he would pull. I’ve always wanted a TV show to take a good Villian with magic powers, good looks, and an actual intelligent plan to do this to the main Hero or Heroine.
I think Series of Unfortunate events tried this at one point with Violet (one of the three protagonists) but there was no actual war or fighting in that series...so I don’t think it counts.

If it was for teens/adults, and maybe if characters were not ponies, they would probably make this villain try to seduce someone, as it's a pretty good and sly idea. 🤔
Or maybe he actually loves her, and just wants a worthy queen to rule alongside, think about it, if this ship *did* exist in the show, she could possibly talk him out if his evil schemes through a loving suggestion. Like moms when their kids go to parties, reminding them not to get in trouble or not to be home late.

The way I see this happening.. is Sombra convincing Twilight to study dark magic to make her friends immortal. This means she opens her mind to dark magic and begins to be controlled. Eventually she falls for him (i.e Stockholm Syndrome) and becomes his Queen
