    I just bought a new motorbike, a 2020 Kawasaki ZX6R. In this video I take it out for a bit of a thrash around the country lanes of England and give my initial review of the bike.

    what is the advantage of kawasaki ninja zx6r compared to other Ninja's?

    • @TripleB6036

      Compared with a ninja 650 it’s got better brakes, suspension, tyres, handling, more power. Compared with a zx10r I guess it would be the power is more usable on the road.

    • @TripleB6036
      @TripleB6036  3 года назад +1

      Hi and thanks.
      I’m not really a believer in beginner bikes as such. I think you could easily ride this as a first big bike. The power delivery is smooth so you won’t get that instant arm whipping torque surprise of 1000cc sports bikes which makes it easier to control. It all depends on your mind. Ride it sensibly until you are used to it and it’s as safe as any other bike. For what it’s worth it’s a great bike, you’ll never get bored of it..

      @@truedawglbg2074 with that much experience you’ll be fine. People always say stuff like that. Yeh ok for people with no self control that ride beyond their ability it may be true but then they’d be dangerous on a 125cc too. I think part of it is ego, oh no you couldn’t possibly handle a bike like mine (in other words I’m better than you). A fast bike is safer in my opinion, more power to get out of trouble, better brakes etc.? A safe rider is a safe rider regardless of the bike. Now if you were talking about a 1000cc Sportsbike then I wouldn’t recommend it as throttle control has to be more on point as it has the power to flip you easily coming out of corners or if you grip the throttle too tightly and hit bumps it can jolt you etc but the fueling and power is so smooth on the ZX6R it’s just not an issue. Can still fly when you want it too though. Enjoy .

      Awesome. It’s a great bike. Well you can either follow the manufacturer’s recommendations or I like to never red line it but I tend to go through the gears a lot and Rev up and down the range. The main thing is don’t do loads of miles at the same RPM (like motorway riding). To be honest engines are so good these days I don’t think it matters.

      I’d take the blipper . The other stuff is not make or break for me. I started riding before electronics and ABS so although nice to have I’d rather they spend the budget on good brakes, suspension and tyres which they have.

    • @TripleB6036

      Fueling is good, even down low. No jerkyness at all. Yes it has a quick shifter , no blipper . Clutch is light , gearing is fine. I noticed a couple of times at stops neutral to first sometimes doesn’t engage but that’s about it.

      Whoever tells you the 650 is just better is wrong but it depends what you want to use the bike for. Pure fun and weekend rides then ZX6r. Commuting, touring and cheaper then 650 is the way to go. If it’s your only bike then the 650 is more versatile. I’ve owned both and they’re not comparable. One is a full on super sport with great handling, an in-line 4 high revving engine, better components and an uncompromising riding position. The other is a general purpose bike that is good value and can do most things. The only similarity is the paint job and name.

      As I had other bikes I had no regrets buying the ZX6R , it is head and shoulders above the other two you mention in terms of performance. However for a daily rider, highway weekend trips I’d say the Ninja 650 is the one you want. It’s got enough power to keep you entertained and is comfortable for longer trips.
