Honestly it’s horrible. I’m absolutely glad it’s not canon. There’s a huge hole in the middle of it. It’s like a fat oberth. The saucer section reminds me of a giant spoon.
@@Lord_Shadowz Actually, the split-neck is far more stable then older designs, better for in-atmosphere travel and perfect for aquatic research, ergo the fins. Just wish it had a proper captain's yacht.

You’re assuming each of these windows is quarters. They could be compartments with other functions like labs, workshops, etc. Also, present day ocean vessels - and even the JJ Prize - have different lighting for different times of the day and go with red or amber lighting to reduce a ship’s visibility from longer differences. In Star Trek Beyond for instance there was a scene when the ship was at red alert and all the window lights were red too.

Out of all three, I love the Yorktown the most. Glad they chose that for the Enterprise-F refit.
Amazing work, amazing visuals. If Gene Roddenberry could see today the lasting effect his idea has had and that carries on, the wonderment of it all! There are always possibilities! :)
These works will undoubtedly inspire the future because, well, the symbols of Star Trek are now so well known that these have already inspired people to study science, get college degrees, join NASA (if only in supporting roles) and aspire to become astronauts. In other words, part of the legacy of Star Trek has already come to pass! There are dozens of audio books, a dozen or more films (in total), fan created websites, entire wikia dedicated to documenting Trek storyline elements, games, video games, costumes, collectibles and more! Star Trek as birthed an entire universe of technology and technological innovations as well as more fictional creations by way of extension of the ideas Mr. Roddenberry set into motion! I strongly feel humanity will have an actual Starfleet Academy one day and the best of the best will graduate among it's ranks! Count on it. (Feb. 2020)
Man...this reminds me of a ship I conceptualized and sketched out waaaay back in 1995. I literally called is the NCC-723 "Odyssey", and it was a ship built for deep space exploration, but was then retasked with finding Voyager after she vanished. She was based on the Enterprise E hull, but instead of twin nacelles, she had a flattened ring around her that FOUR nacelles were mounted to (like an X-Wing), and when she went to warp, they repositioned themselves further out on the ring. God...now I want to go find that sketchbook I had it in and try to find someone to actually render it in 3D!!! lol
+Fabian Espinoza III Thanks! And agreed, First Contact theme seemed really fitting here. It was a toss up between First Contact theme and the TNG opening theme. Hard choice here for sure.
The sojourner is definitely my favorite, just somthing about it clearly takeing designe ques from the galaxy class while still being a unique ship is just amazing and beautiful
Epic video it gave me chills and I love that musical score so much. That was a perfect choice for these ships. You really should be hired by Cryptic to do promotional videos. Thanks for this beautiful video :)
+Rodney Spiers That is one of the big reasons I do these videos like this with the slow movements and not fast passed and filled with action. Thank you for watching and I hope to continue pumping out videos you and others will enjoy.
My ship is the sojourner operations starcruiser, but with the in my opinion sleeker look of the Yorktown science starcruiser. I still love slowly rotating the camera around her between missions.
Absolutely love this video... amazing work. I must add I love the deflector dish on the Sojourner that looks stunning... perhaps the creators of picard should have some chats with the people who create these wonderful ships.
I wasn't really a fan of the Odyssey line of ships for a long time. Now though, I think they ALL look cool in their own way, and I'd captain any of them inba heartbeat
