  • Robert discusses with Russ Hopkins the story of Buddha being protected by the world serpent in the hours just before his enlightenment. While sharing a related dream and aspects of his personal journey, he delves into the nature of dreams as a healing instrument and window into knowing ones true self in contrast to the collective consciousness. Robert offers hints regarding the art of dream interpretation. He also discusses the inherent loneliness that can come from this process of individuation.

This was very moving. These natural human talks with him are treasures one doesn’t often find on the internet. Maybe one doesn’t find it often anywhere at all haha… thank you for keeping these for us.

Thanks for keeping sharing these incredible talks with Mr. Johnson. He has this timeless eternal effect on one when listening. Hope you have more talks to share, the modern "jungians" in my opinion dont have the spirit about them that Robert does, MLVF had it too, i think it comes from the degree of insight into there Self.

Jungian interpretation of Buddha and Naga story is as follows. Naga is a symbol of wisdom. In process of enlightenment, one is going to be attacked from all sides from demons of anxieties to destroy the path of enlightenment. One then should surround himself with wisdom to defend against demons.

To be fair this is putting me to sleep. And what it is about, feels like reminiscences of an old man, no offence to Robert.

@ennuied, your name is ennuied... you chose it. Either bear the consequences or alternatively think hard why you chose it. If you do that, I'd presume, it's literally because you're longing to sit down quietly with yourself. Ennui is how far you've come but where you're stuck now. Now you're defensive about Robert which shows that your connection to your own old man could be better, which is the same one that's actually chill, heavenly calm, not just ennuied.
