As someone who didn't know the dark secrets of my mom's side of the family. Story 1 is almost like my grandma's story. My grandfather passed away at the age of 61-63. Its been a very long time and I can't remember when it happened. Anyways, a few months after he passed some news came out about my grandfather. He abused my grandma a lot during their early years of marriage. He cheated, and would come home and abuse my grandma. This didn't come from my grandma, this came from my aunts and my mother's mouth. Later in his life he did change, because of course no one wanted him and he slowed down a lot in his age, but they kept it from us kids because they didn't want us to think differently of our grandfather. Now a few months have passed, we knew the story, one night my grandma went to a bar with my great aunt (her sister) so that she can meet a man who is 10 years younger than her. They hooked up the first night they met. When I saw my grandma, she was so happy. All my other cousins was angry, but I hugged her and was finally glad she was happy. That is all that ever mattered to me, I love my grandma to pieces. She has been there when my dad wasn't the greatest father to me. Her and my grandfather did help me when I was a kid when I wanted to go to the movies or somewhere to hang out with my friends. I slowly convinced my cousins to be happy for grandma and can gladly say they accepted the new guy in grandma's life. Some people are selfish, my grandma wasn't. She stuck with my grandfather through sickness and health, she was right there when he took his last breath in the hospital, took several jobs to take care of him when he quit working around the age 40. She is now 80 and still going.
She is a strong woman, my heart goes out to her. She sounds just like my stepdad's mom, the woman her husband cheated on her with even moved in with them. He didn't worry about what it would do to the kids and his wife because his mistress needed a place to stay. Add in the physical mental, and verbal abuse he was a giant POS. The same thing happened when he got older he slowed down and allegedly stopped messing around and his wife never left his side. He died first about 8 to 10 years ago and she just died a little over 2 months ago. I think back then it was hard for a woman to leave a man and the husbands used that to their advantage. All the woman who suffered in silence are so strong, what they experienced wasn't fair or easy to deal with.
1st story: there is such a thing as a menopause baby. So just because you have started menopause doesn’t mean you can’t get pregnant one last time be careful.😅
Story 1: I don't get the audacity of AP and ex-husband. They broke a family apart, and there were going to be consequences (though unexpected) this turned out to be one of the consequences. The ex-husband is upset because OP and Ezra are doing better than he is. He wants to win, and he is not.
On the sister falling in love with her brother, I can absolutely say I support him. My brother did the same when I was a teen (F 13 ATT) and trust me it was creepy as hell, scary and I hope OP will get through. My brother and I had parents who had divorced since we were little. I guess he got confused because we only saw each other very little. I think in his head he thought I was random, but he knew I was his sister and I knew he was my brother. Let's just say it happened and weirded me out. He was 2 yrs older than me and I could never understand why he was so protective of me as we turned into teens and began livibg together with my mother. I was shocked when he tried to kiss me and tell me how much he loved me. I smacked him so hard. I feel bad now because I could have talked to him instead of violence. but just because I live in west Virginia does not mean we are inbred 😳. We did talk about it and he explained and I explained he needs a girlfriend. We were really great friends after that and sadly after he went to Iran at 17yrs, he came back and was a great uncle to my kiddos, but he passed away from the trauma he remembered from war. I will always love him as a brother, and I am glad he realized himself as teens. I will always miss and love him as a brother. I know that sounds strange, but it really happens in families and I honestly feel bad for giving him a bloody nose and broke his glasses after he tried to kiss me in my teens. ( My dad was a body builder and we worked out together since I was 6) soo... I know when no means no, yep.. I feel bad for that punch. Although it gave the message clear.
S1: I predict the AP getting "accidentally" pregnant by OP's ex in a final attempt to break up OP and Ezra. A bat crap crazy AP will do the most to "win" (in their own twisted mind).
I feel like the AP felt less like she was saving a man from a abd marriage (or at least this isn't the big part,) amd more like she just wanted an excuse to believe that the reason her mom left was because of her dad NOT her. Because kids, including teens which she was the 2nd time her mom left, tesn to ALWAYS find a way to think it is their fault, even if it logically makes no sense.
Worrying about the 24 y/o daughter should not be an issue. That is already an adult that can also make a family of her own. It is not like the affair issues happened in her teen yers, she already at least experienced or seen very weird relationships.
I find it weird that the mom is talking about her revenge but they want to talk about the kids!! It a revenge post not advice. Just because she didn't bring it up doesn't mean she's abandoning her kids it not about that right now!!!!
The last story i somewhat had a similar situation but we are stepsiblings. My stepbrother told me the day before our parent's wedding that he was in love with me. It obviously didnt go both ways and was so awkward especially since we had to walk down the aisle together the next day. Luckily he droppdd it and told my best friend like a year later he loved her and that wasnt recieved well either. He did it to a few more of my friends it was ridiculous. We had to sit him down and explain to a 19yo that you cant just tell women you love them and expect them to jump into a relationship with you. At the time he was misdiagnosed and was on meds he didnt need which really fucked him up. Hes been off them for 13yrs and is doing great and our parents have been married for 16years this spring. I truly hope they get their daughter some help and a mental health examination because i wont say what one it is but shes showing signs of having mental healthh issues. Hopefully this brother finds even ground with his parents and if not i hope he cuts them off and has a good life without them.
OP doesn't need to worry about how her adult children will handle this. If the daughter that is friends with the intern is fine then there shouldn't be any issue with any other kids. She's also dating in her age group so... NTAH
Story 2. Nta. Wow that story went into a sick and twisted Direction. Opie needs to stay away from his sister and everyone that is making excuses for her.
Story story 2: I don't agree with the comment from Julie 30:51 "if I were the dad...I'd be like the apple doesn't fall far [from the tree]." I have always found this to be a pretty damning statement or harsh to say the least. I would say by removing himself from the toxicity of the whole situation and how his parents handled it, that he is showing he is not like his family. While I agree that he should not necessarily move in with his girlfriend at this time, perhaps get roommates or something else as he has a lot to start unpack mentally (hopefully with therapy). I am glad he has a strong support system with his GF and her father.
For story one, the AP's mom had Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), not Bipolar Disorder (BP). The acronyms from the two of them get mixed up for each other all the time
Stop infantilizing woman!! Having trauma is not giving you the right or even the excuse to treat other people like s***. She's just a horrible person point blank.
My husband and I moved in together because I got kicked out of my parents house for vaping - which I was using to quit smoking. It was the best decision for us! Hubby really showed how much he cared about me and the relationship.
This girl, Julie…. Is a good representation of why many women don’t want to become mothers. Once you have a child all you are is mom, and you have no personhood, apparently even when your kids are old enough to have their own kids, old enough to sleep with a 50 year old, but please focus on the “children”, children sleep with elders apparently
24 is an adult. Trauma or not, u know right from wrong. Go see a therapist and don’t fuck married men. Both cheating husband and 24yr old suck. She broke up her friends family… and with the dad the friend went no contact with. I think she needs more karma than she got. She should have been happy for her dad finding happiness with someone after not being in a relationship for so long. She sounds super self absorbed that she made it about her… the only thing that made her uncomfortable was she would have to spend time with someone she stabbed in the back and ruined their life ohhh poor u little princess
2nd story sounds like there was some serious sexual abuse done to the sister and granted there isn’t enough info to go off of given the parents behavior I wonder if it came from them
Ooooooo , John doing a show with a guest? This feels like a fresh flavor on the show , ooo, la, la. Lol , love n appreciate yall! Keep up the good content
I’m 23, my mother is no longer responsible for my emotional well being. When do you get off the tit?? Mothers are allowed to have a life, believe it or not your parents lives can’t revolve around you forever, they did their job.
Story 1- the amount of therapy those parents are potentially putting their children through even though they are adults.... If op marries the dad and then daughter and ex husband get married, 1) daughter would also be granddaughter, 2) any potential children through ex would not only be the siblings but also niece/nephew....
So for the first story, I think Julia and John confused OP's daughter for the intern that slept with OP's husband. No, OP's daughter was laughing at the whole romantic dramedy that's unfolding in front of her. OP's daughter is fine in all of this. It's Ezra's daughter that has the emotional and mental trauma from her mother walking out, not OP's daughter. OP recognized that Ezra's kid holds resentment and was probably fed lies by her mother during the 5 years they were in the same house and that her father cheated, was abusive, etc. and that was why she left in the first place. OP is correct in telling Ezra that his daughter needs him and his help and guidance and maybe a very long detailed explanation about what really happened between him and her mother. And to have his daughter enroll in therapy and maybe family therapy as well. So that they can actually talk it out rather than have a screaming match. But OP's daughter is fine probably just as uncomfortable as everyone else is with the fact that her father and best friend are together. Ezra's daughter is the one that is basically having a mental and emotional breakdown. I also think they got OP's husband and Ezra mixed up as well...?
PLS DONT SAY BPD IS BIPOLAR they are different, bpd stands for borderline personality disorder and IS A DIFFERENT THING than bipolar, if you have questions about it I can answer! But pls know they are not the same thing……
Dammit, I am not first but I am here early. Love you, John and Julia! Story 1: I don't think OP is the AH. That ex of hers. 100% the AH! He preyed on his subordinate who had obvious mommy issues and some daddy issues. The AP's dad... classy! So great, this king needs to be celebrated! Last story: uhhhh what? I had to walk away and come back lol. That's yeah... ummm my heart out to the OP.
idk if I am a bad person lmao xD but I dont care about story 1 how the ""chiiiild" who was an affair partner deserves her daaaddyyyy like..... brooooootheerers she es 24!!!! she is not 16 or even 19, that is a full ass grown girl even if she needs to learn more about life, it is insane for me how much care you and OP gave to her, I gues you are better people than me omg haha
For story 1: OP's kids are 21yo! Did Julie miss that part or...what? If 5 years down the road a 26yo woman is in a bad relationship TF does that have to do with OPM And where is this same energy toward OP's ex/the children's father? Julie is giving "I'm a better mom than you"/ helicopter parent. A 24yo is an ADULT. OKOP, please stop having these morally weird ppl on the show. First it was Cassie, now this girl. Y'all are 0-2 my guys. Bring back Sophia! She's amazing!
Even as young adult our home environment can affect us & mess us up. Yes, they’re old enough to know better, but it doesn’t undermine all the trauma baggage they have to carry throughout their lives that WILL affect how they build relationships
This!!! They are judging how OPs actions are affecting OPs daughter. But OP's daughter's FATHER slept with her friend. Her FRIEND meddled in her parent's marriage. And neither John nor Julie are saying that the daughter could be affected by THAT! Mom's don't have more of a moral imperative than dad's.
@@tate_n As a young ADULT, a parent does not have to let you stay in your childhood home. So if a youmd adult is so affected, they can find another home. It is called accountability. It sounds like you need more work with this concept...
@@mstb2023 And that is the quiet part they are saying out loud! And Julie had the NERVE to say Ezra KNOWS how to parent. If she does not stop displacing her OBVIOUS mommy issues and childhood trauma on a AITA video and take her behind to therapy
@@switzer_no_switzing maybe you need a therapy. It’s not healthy to be so not ok in your life that you go to the internet to be vicious to everyone. I’d suggest you take accountability for your attitude towards others. Also, good for you if you’re so blessed in life that moving out on your own is an easily available possibility for you. For so many people, unfortunately, it is not the case. I’m blessed enough to do so, the OP’s kids might not be
Last story OP is definitely young enough for positive reinforcement. Based off of how he handled the situation and his girlfriend as a parent i feel confident in saying it might be a long term relationship that might be worth investing in. It's hard with all these dumb kids your children bring into the house but that's why they're so stupid and their decisions are so outrageous, they lack proper parenting and outlets for their energy. I think it's commendable what gf's father is doing. . . I'm speaking from experience, i used to be shamelessly wild and I've grown a lot with the people that are helping me in my young adult life because i just didn't have that when i was younger
Why are you so bothered by a couple moving in together? OP was around an age were couples move in together and they were obviously in a serious relationship like why does it bother you??? It’s definitely a bit early but not by that much
Julia’s take was weird as fuck in the beginning 😂😂 ms girl 24 isn’t a child, them kids are fine the sister thought it was funny. Don’t assume she didn’t check in just cause she didn’t say it explicitly
Is the sister, Hailey, his “real” sister? Or is she step or half? It wouldn’t be sooo bad if it was his step sister, but that’s it. My one real full brother is a very good-looking man (especially in high school and college) and was popular with all the ladies. Not once in all my years did I have a sexual attraction for him and we only lived together in the summer. I mean this girl is not well in the head. It’s WEIRD!!! And even if I were to have had feelings for my brother🤦🏻♀️(I can’t believe I just wrote that sentence) I would have NEVER told him so!! What did she possibly think would happen?? Nothing good can. Good grief, girl!🤨🤔🙄
OMG this is gross she likes her own brother.... I have 3 "half" siblings but vould never think about it but I know my SIL is jealous of me... I always think it was weird and she was fucked up... but I guess she can think like that as well 🤢

The mother has entered the chat. 😂 “THINK ABOUT THE CHILDREN!!” 😂 edited let me say thanks julie is a wholesome addition ❤
S1: I predict the AP getting "accidentally" pregnant by OP's ex in a final attempt to break up OP and Ezra. A bat crap crazy AP will do the most to "win" (in their own twisted mind).
Why tf are they talking about a 24 old woman as if she's 14? Wtf?
1st story: OP's daughter may be feeling guilt over possibility bringing someone into their life that broke up her parent 30 yr marriage.
I find it weird that the mom is talking about her revenge but they want to talk about the kids!! It a revenge post not advice. Just because she didn't bring it up doesn't mean she's abandoning her kids it not about that right now!!!!
Right! Let's focus here!
The amount of tea from this episode is crazy, I'll be sipping on this for a few days 😂
The girl you guys invited in this episode gives the worst advices I have ever heard... bring Sofia back! 😂
My love for this channel can never be fully expressed ❤
NTAH
I love listening to 20 something year olds give life advice about relationships that were older than themselves 😂
we reveal sage wisdom
this episode was so crazy
Story 2. Nta. Wow that story went into a sick and twisted Direction.
Opie needs to stay away from his sister and everyone that is making excuses for her.
I would like to see that family tree if OP and Ezra had a child and it would be crazier if affair partner and the ex husband also had a child
The acronyms from the two of them get mixed up for each other all the time
I would love a behind the scenes of how you guys take pics for the thumbnails 😂
Stop infantilizing woman!! Having trauma is not giving you the right or even the excuse to treat other people like s***. She's just a horrible person point blank.
My husband and I moved in together because I got kicked out of my parents house for vaping - which I was using to quit smoking. It was the best decision for us! Hubby really showed how much he cared about me and the relationship.
Traumatized listening to this.... speechless
The dad dating daughters friend: its probably not the first time he's cheated after 30 years. First time it was close to home so he got caught
OP did nothing wrong, these are not kids. It’s not on them to manage their feelings, just be a parent.
I’m 23, my mother is no longer responsible for my emotional well being. When do you get off the tit?? Mothers are allowed to have a life, believe it or not your parents lives can’t revolve around you forever, they did their job.
Omg they both are therapeutic, great guest❤️❤️❤️❤️
I imagine Layla asking to pass the salt and sister is sliding her a napkin with her number instead 😅
"Apple doesn't fall far" i hate that. Wth Julia?
I wish they would have said the name of her podcast at the end and where to find it. Does anyone know where I can find it?
Right like they spoke like the daughter was 14 or something she’s a full on young woman she’s not a kid
PLS DONT SAY BPD IS BIPOLAR they are different, bpd stands for borderline personality disorder and IS A DIFFERENT THING than bipolar, if you have questions about it I can answer! But pls know they are not the same thing……
Wow that first story was crazy then that last one!!! My daaawwwd!
Interesting the things the guest focused on.
😂😂😂😂 24 year old child 😂😂😂these are not kids
13:49 some people can’t handle being alone especially after being married for so long.
Uhhhhh about the 2nd one, maybe remember that we are in a housing cost crisis. OP probably couldn’t afford to live alone if he wanted to.
24:44 wtfffffff!!!!!!!!!!😮😮😮😮😮
The name of her her pod cast is: Pretty Much Done Julia Mazur. John said it at the begging of the video ☺️
Love this channel!!!
what would thanksgiving diner look like
Anyone has a link for Julie's podcast? I'm surprised that's not added to the description of the episode, unless I just missed it?
Bpd = borderline personality disorder not bipolar
idk if I am a bad person lmao xD but I dont care about story 1 how the ""chiiiild" who was an affair partner deserves her daaaddyyyy like..... brooooootheerers she es 24!!!! she is not 16 or even 19, that is a full ass grown girl even if she needs to learn more about life, it is insane for me how much care you and OP gave to her, I gues you are better people than me omg haha
OP and Ezra. Just curious that OP doesn't seem aware of all those "Menopause Babies" out there. Hope she is more careful than she's indicated.
Good guest 🙂
I’m blessed enough to do so, the OP’s kids might not be
I'm traumatized 💀
Love Julie!!
I listened to the first one but i cant pay attention to anything else.
What’s her podcast info?
The kids are grown they can get a therapist they arent kids they are adults julie
seems like a nice lady but honestly my least favorite guest for this show
1st op's daughter is 21
He/ she is mentally ill on the 2nd story.
Apart from the story, why does it keep fading in and out when the story is being read?
OMG this is gross she likes her own brother.... I have 3 "half" siblings but vould never think about it but I know my SIL is jealous of me... I always think it was weird and she was fucked up... but I guess she can think like that as well 🤢
What’s Julia’s channel called?
Very old?? Isn’t she only 50?
Miss you John. I like Julia.
Julia is cool. Good episode.
I hope Julia comes back ❤
So sorry but you can get pregnant during menopause journey!
