Congratulations Kama 🥳 so inspiring and loved to hear your tips and reflections! I already do something artsy every day but is always great to hear what other artist friends think and share, makes us feel that we are not alone on the journey ❤
Thank you so much Teresa! I’m glad you enjoyed the video and the tips. I definitely agree with you that it really helps to see other people draw or even just seeing their sketchbooks to get lots of inspiration 😊
First, congrats on keeping that creative practice going for 200 days and counting, Kama!🙌Love your advice about trying new things and experimenting and making a commitment to small bits of time to do it. And when you make a mess, "who cares?" That's right! It's just for practice! We don't need to have instagram post worthy sketchbook spreads!
Thank you so much Debbie! And yes about Instagram post spreads! Who cares about ig anyway 😬😆
Experimenting and changing things up is how I’ve been drawing so much in the last 4 years and it’s been such a blast!
The small time commitment is something I learnt ages ago and it’s been invaluable, I highly recommend that ☺️
I had this on while I was doing some drawing and when I looked up I saw a big “thank you ART HANG PARTY!” 🥰 I’m so happy that you’re getting so much out of our weekly drawing sessions! It totally makes it worth doing 🤗💖✨
Yay! Ha good timing with spotting the message 🙂 I really like your weekly sessions and this just reminds me I need to catch up with your latest one ✨
@@WeirdIsTheBest I’m excited to see your 100 people!
I’m watching it today! Though I had to split the session into two ha ha! The beauty of catching up on your lives 😆
@melissamartinart I completed the session today! Yay! It was extra good 😊
@@WeirdIsTheBest nice! I think it’s one of my favs (but don’t tell the others haha)
From your Art Hang Party comment I think you must be the same time zone as me. You sketchbooks are filling up with wonderful drawings. I also have the same Seawhites of Brighton book and it doesn’t handle watercolour well. See you at the next Art Hang Party.
Hello Marie Louise! It might be the same time zone. It’s always at midnight for me. Thank you so much for your comment. I’ve almost finished yet another sketchbook! I don’t know how but I’ve been more inspired again.
Agreed about Seawhite sketchbook. They’re nice; just for dry media or gouache, I think.
See you at the next art hang if I’m not asleep when it starts 😆
@@WeirdIsTheBest the 100 heads made my head swim. I had to stop at 70 and then I finished it the next day.
@marielouiseweeksb33attitud33 I took multiple breaks 😬 I’m in awe with anyone who drew them all while watching it live and with Melissa while also reading the chat and talking! Impressive!
Even 70 in one go is a lot
Wow! Very cool to see all the different things you've created in different media and styles! It was fun seeing you in the Art Hang Party 😃
Hi Marcy, it was great seeing you there also! I’m glad you’ve enjoyed my drawings. Thank you!
hi! New subscriber here from Italy :) my name is Francesca and I came here from Sophie's discord and Melissa's art party that I watched on replay couse I couldn't participate :/
Thank you for sharing all your experiences with the sketchbooks and for the many interesting tips ❤
Hi Francesca! Welcome 🙌 I usually watch the replays too. It’s still really fun isn’t it?
Thank you for your comment and I hope you like it here 😄
I love your videos, so calming.
Thanks so much 😊
I have that black and gold royal talens sketchbook too. Currently learning so mine will be empty for a while.
Fair enough Melanie! Good luck on your learning and I hope you enjoy the sketchbook when the time is right 😀
