- I have seen MSG: Requiem For Vengeance. I have thoughts on the matter. I have decided to make this everyone's problem.

15:57 - The team developing a new, cutting-edge prototype weapons system probably wants the most capable test-pilot available to test it out. I imagine that a Newtype would fit this bill.
Also, SUBSCRIBED. 👍

On the "Another Elite Unite" thing. I agree with it being tired but i think its mandatory for the story it was trying to tell. Its common in writing when showing strength you show it thorugh feats or through having someone with feats get stomped. I think it was wise to chose the later because of the short run time and the "mysterious slasher antagonist" motif they went with.
Excellent review. I could listen to you talk about gundam all day.
To be fair, the RX-78-1 and first generation GMs all have over the shoulder beam saber ports.
True, i forgot about that little aspect of the design, but not that powered moving rack. They're just kinda jabbed into the backpack. I was thinking of the Ground Type with the leg mount. I'm old. Lol😂
I like the leg mount too.
Overall it was pretty good, IMO.
@@lpg12338 agreed, but since I saw the continuation of a pattern that has annoyed me for years, I had to get it out of my brain meats.
08th MS Team !
So, as for the fancy new mobile suits in War in the Pocket: The reason they're all so new (excluding the Kampfer) is that they were all meant to be redesigns, but were canonized as variants. The Kampfer however works because it truly was a one-off mobile suit, and despite being shown so amazingly in the anime, it was kinda shit! It's armor was horrible, worse than a Zaku's by some margine, the only thing it had going for it was it's speed. It really only succeeded because it had the EFSF surprised.
As for Requiem for Vengeance, maybe it's purposeful, maybe it's not, but I noticed the Zeon Mobile Suits are sparsely redesigned, only being updated to look more realistic. But the Gundam and GM are changed completely, so maybe it's not intended, but I think it'd be interesting to view this series as a post war propaganda piece by Zeon. A dangerous, psychotic new Gundam, piloted by a kid because the Federation is evil, something something main character deserts Zeon because killing kid combatant is wrong, that sorta thing. It's sorta like Metroid: Other M, where the events may be canon, just not as they're depicted. I'd expect the Gundam EX to just be a Gundam Ground Type, and it should be noted that it also has the same shoulder armor handles. Like some Zeon film maker tweaked the design a bit to make it look more scary and devilish, and chest Vulcan changed into a shoulder mounted one. So, if all this were true, then it might just be a standard Gundam Ground Type, or possibly modified to some extent like the Ez8
Exactly, I said the same dam thing! I am tired of seeing the fact that the one sitting in the seat of the Gundam is a teen child operating it.. My golly they dont understand that the vast majority of people who watches Gundam are adults and not young kids.. I totally agree with every point you've made on this series, I also give it 3/5. last but not least, I too love & enjoyed and have watched the "08th MS team" as well, definitely a one of a kind series 😊
