The ruling on the field was that Utah fumbled the ball short of the goal line and Oregon recovered it and returned it for a touchdown. The ruling was confirmed. That makes plenty of sense to me!

Third string QB Cardale Jones wins his first 3 games, all of which are elimination games, first the Big 10 championship game to get then into the playoffs, then the Sugar Bowl against ALABAMA to get then to the CFB finals, and finally beating the Ducks led by newly minted Heisman dinner Marcus Mariota. Meanwhile Mariota, while missing out on perhaps the greatest individual season in college football history on account of his team losing in the finals, did manage to hand Jameis Winston his only loss as a college player by blowing out Florida State in the semi final game. And then the very next game they both played was against each on NFL opening day after the two of them were selected 1 and 2 in the draft, when Mariota and the Titans blew out Winston and the Bucs.
