Thanksgiving's coming-agree or disagree with Dave's opinion that pumpkin pie is "disgusting"?
Totally agree
Yes. Pumpkin pie is nasty.
Thanks for another great season Sean
Already awaiting the next one
Also I bought a new PC yesterday FINALLY after having a shitty PC for so long,I now watch you in 1080p XD

Its all I can think about.
Oh god, I should've checked the comments after. Now I can't concentrate on anything else. 🤣
Sean's Yelp rage-rant is probably the most I've ever heard him speak, and it was magical. Well played Chang, well played.
Turned around the interview.
It was very eloquent and reasonable.
And is absolutely correct!
The Theo Von episode is incredibke, you really learn some things about Sean.
Absolute irony at 15:27 related to current events 😂😂😂
Well well if it isn't Mr Trademark Bully himself.
"how was that, i have no idea what happened" lmao this man is a legend; chang said on his podcast it took him 72 hours to feel well again

Priceless
That's some boss activity
David Chang rocks.
That's a baller move.

Most legendary last dab pour ever. That was a crazy amount of sauce.
He's a madman.
OMG that was nuts!!!
The bottle is literally half empty after that.
Has literally anyone else eaten that much sauce+wing and held it like a boss without their head visibly imploding?
Coolio did it first. Never Forget That... but he didn't do it with the Apollo sauce, so maybe you're right.
Hands down David Chang won this. HE LITERALLY DRENCHED THE LAST DAB!!! How’s anyone going to top that
Steve-O put some of the Last Dab into his eye. That was painful to watch 😨😣

I respect David Chang so much. He is the spiritual successor to Anthony Bourdain. He is so passionate about food, but unafraid to call it as he sees it. He is an important ambassador to the culinary world.
Well said!
I can't compare him to Bourdain, two different styles. Definitely a peer. He is a creator who has been a force in the restaurant universe. Also always very funny and personable, so they do that in common.
Idk about that, he's kinda known for being a prick amongst actual chefs, and not as loved as bourdain. He's also gone out of his way to say that asian cooking surpasses all other types cooking and during his show ugly delicious, insulting certain chefs that he's had on as guests such as spanish and italian cooking. Also, during covid, he was crying about the food industry, but wouldn't sell one of his enormous houses to support his cooking and waiting staff at his extremely overpriced establishments. Idk, maybe because I have friends in the industry and I haven't heard anything positive from them, but homie is super fake, and is like a kirkland bourdain...but way way...way worse.
@@endlessvoid2215 my sous chef trained under David Chang. He is definitely not a nice guy in the kitchen, but acknowledges that in his Momofuku cook book. I wouldn't want to train under him, but I can appreciate his ability.
Comparing David Chang to Anthony Bourdain is such an insult to Anthony Bourdain. David Chang is nowhere near the level of Bourdain.
That American Flag edit while Sean is talking about Yelp was glorious.

most epic dab ever
Had to 💪 on Ramsay
That was the most horrifying last dab I have ever witnessed on this show. Stunningly bold. Insane beyond belief. Yet, he was completely composed. Bravo!
Absolute legend on that last drench.
@Earn Crypto he matched coolio on that one to be fair. also Lil Nas X drenched his last wing!
Da Bomb claims to be beyond insanity. If that's true, then this is so far past insanity it can't even be described.
Iono Stevo pouring it in his eye was kinda crazy
I am so happy there is someone on the show that finally sweats as much as I do when I eat spicy food. It’s given me anxiety for so long, so thank you Sean and David for making me feels a bit more normal!
Did not know of David Chang before this. Now I'm glad I've met him through this. Thank you Hot Ones. This is my favorite episode.

@@criticalcrash I don’t watch much Netflix but I watched it after seeing David Chang on Buzzfeed’s Worth it. The way he talks about food is very fascinating
David's answer about supporting 3-5 restaurants is really smart.
Sean, do not ever belittle your role as just a chicken wing talk show host. one, you are by far one of the best interviewers on any medium. and the hot wings, i know thats a gimmick but its so damn effective at breaking down the guard of your guest. Then you hit them with deep questions about details even they have not thought of in years, and we the view get the most raw version of the person in front of you. we actually get to know them like we hung out with them a few times because this format and I know the team helps, but you hold it together by going through this with the guest.
I agree. Sean totally deserves the Emmy he's been nominated for; he is truly the BEST interviewer I've ever seen, period. Not even Graham Norton is better than Sean and I love Graham Norton!
I hope Sean wins, I really do.
That’s a great Yelp review! Let the people know what’s up.

Totally surprised at all the comments here that did not know who David was, but I feel the same when the young musicians come on. Sean brings us all together and teaches us a bit every season. Hot Ones is a wonder platform to expand from.
Totally. I HIGHLY recommend his show on Netflix too, Ugly Delicious. It’s much more than a show about food, he digs into the culture of the foods they choose each episodes and has lots of guests on.
I love his eclectic mix of guests

I like how this is just _kind of_ a food show, so for those of us who are food fans, we can be excited about guests like David Chang, and those who aren't get to be introduced to what's basically a whole new subculture.
Sean out here being a ski instructor, “If you touch your eyes while eating wings, you’re gonna have a bad time.”

Probably the best hot ones interview ever
David Chang is so cool and chilled and also braved the last dab like a BOSS
David knows his habaneros - I used to go to one of his NYC restaurants (Ma Pêche, RIP) often, and they had a habanero fried chicken bucket that was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. After 4 or 5 pieces of habanero chicken, that spice creeps up! Awesome to see his performance here.

One of the few intelligent people who are able to review the hotsauces objectively despite getting burned by it. Great choice as a guest.
"we're influenced by everything, and if they can do it better, and whatever they can do to stay in business and thrive then I'm all for it." I've always really admired him and this is why. He's hard on himself and everyone who needs it and makes sure to push things to be better. What a guy

Sean : " I like to mirror guests"
David Chang : "I didn't wear the worlds largest jacket"
"There's something...going on with this one" is the best explanation for Da Bomb that Sean could give
🤣 I laughed out loud when Sean said that.
I would go so far to say they are leaving something out on the ingredient label. I eat very spicy foods and I use habaneros in cooking but the heat of Da Bomb is odd like anyone who eats spicy foods regularly says.

Mad respect for David Chang! Never seen a last "dab" turn into a lava fall. Good chef, down to Earth, and like Bourdain...doesn't mind ruffling a few feathers (although making fun of pumpkin pie, yelpers, and hamburgers with beets on it isn't exactly mocking Emeril as a troll). BTW, you're wrong (but excused) mornay is NOT one of the 5 mother sauces. You missed Veloute.
It's always interesting to see what chefs think of the hot sauces and how they go about this unique type of interview. David Chang out here deconstructing the sauces with his chef's palate and making it through til the end (unlike Gordon Ramsey that doused his wings in lemon juice) was fun to watch.
Palate
Calling out Gordon Ramsay like that. 🤭
Chang is a notorious twat of industry, acts the same as Ramsay on TV to his staff and underpaying them for the 'pleasure' of working for him.
Whilst, Ramsay has a high standard for his staff, he pays them well. By all accounts his on-screen act is an embellishment for entertainment.
