- This is The Keystone Mod done to a VW ALH VE Bosch injection pump, it holds your case pressure control valve together so you can maintain case pressure. Over time the valve just falls apart and of course won't work correctly at that point.

Is there a benefit to replacing the valve as opposed to this?
The valve will tend to do it again.

I checked this valve to see if it was the issue, it was not, however now that I’ve reassembled the car Revs up and has to be shut off. My question; is there a torque setting? How do you find the right depth when tightening?
No. It just goes in all the way.
i fail to grasp this; how about the spring, where does it go ?
It goes spring, cylinder, retainer clip then key stone.
