Thank you so much. I have been having the same issue on and off for like three weeks, but today it wouldn't have. My car has been in the garage beeping for the last 2 hours and telling me to shift to park even though it was parked. I thought it was going to kill my battery, and the dealership where I purchased it last year said they couldn't see me until next week on Wednesday at the earliest. Your video was the 2nd I watched and you made it so simple that even I could follow it. The first video that I watched for for a 2017 Chevy Malibu, but it was different. Yours look exactly like my 2022 so it was easy to follow you instructions.
Sir, God Bless You. I started having the shift to park issue in my 2020 Chevy Malibu about a month ago; took it to Chevrolet and told the guys the exact problem and he told me it would be $150 just to diagnose/confirm the problem. I told him it was a well known problem, and I left. Going to follow your guidance this weekend. Wish me luck. I really wish Chevy would man up and put in a recall for this issue, too many people are having this issue and its clearly a design defect.
They put out a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) which is for the dealer technicians that let's them know it's a known problem but they refuse to put out a recall because that will cost GM money instead of making them money. Lol.

Welcome and thanks for watching
Bending the arm on mine was only a temporary fix. I ended up replacing the switch but it was only a $4 part
Ya I bought a new switch just in case but so far it’s had no problems and it’s been a couple months thanks for watching
Good man
Thanks for watching
I had mine fixed & it started again 4 years later. I shift it to park again & press the brake & it goes away
I cannot pull that shifter off
You have to pull up and twist it back and forth
Thanks for watching
@ I will try again.. side note… they have to answer for this in court January 2025 because they have a class action lawsuit..
