Loving these sas videos! You should really do a souvenir haul from everything you bought- those are so fun to watch! Also, how did you become a sea captain? No other sas vidoes have people that were captains in them so im really interested haha
Gracie don't rush through college!!! It's the best time in your life. I graduated two years ago and miss it so much. HIGHLY RECOMMEND going back to do another semester at sea if you can. You will not regret it even if you take an extra semester. Trust me!!!
I still can't believe how sweet u r! You always know what to say, and what to do to make ppl smile:) Keep doing whatever your doing because your smile is a smile that could light up a room! Love u!!
Gracie, it is so evident the massive heart you have for anyone and everyone in your life. At this trying time THAT is so refreshing and heart warming to see! I love your passion for everything you do. I love the way that you speak about things that make you so happy! You are one of my favorite youtubers as I always leave your videos with a smile! Thank you for always being a joy! I wish you were someone I could be friends with in my life! If only I went to Bama as well 😉 Keep being you, girl!
I’ve literally been binge watching your channel all quarantine and I’m so inspired by you, what a queen! Def want to get some lily pulitzer because of you! Love your style and energy and your videos are the bestttt, lots of love! ❤️
Gracie, you are a queen. I am intrigued by Semester at Sea and am even thinking about writing a short story about a mentally unstable student who cannot handle being disconnected from the Internet so she "escapes" at the port of Cape Town, running further and further inland until the ship has to move on without her. Your video (especially the bit about the "drunk tank") provide some great details and context for this story! Would you be interested in setting up a Facetime or Zoom conversation to further discuss the emotional conditions of the students on board?
when your on the ship going to different countries, how do you follow the time zones, like do they change the time zones depending on what part of the sea your in, idk it just confuses me haha
I've always been curious if it's common for people on the ship to have graduated already? were there many on your voyage? I was also thinking about doing it the fall after I graduate!
Love your videos Girl!! I am going into my Junior year of college but not able to study abroad:( so it was so exciting to go back and watch all your sas videos!!
not technically! they tell you not to but i can't say that i didn't bring a plum or two back to my fridge in my room when we had them on the ship! you actually get in trouble if you get caught!
this is basically my dream the only thing that is holding me back is the price and the fact im from the uk. im worried that i wont make many friends because i will be the only one from the uk.
Abbey Johnson I was going to say this too haha two girls from the UK studied abroad at my school and pledged my sorority. We were all thrilled to get to know them and have them around and they had so many friends!
what i have gotten from all of the SAS videos is that you are provided breakfast ,lunch, and dinner in lido and berlin (the two dining halls). there are snack bars and stuff, but you have to pay extra for those!
Don’t give up on your dream of doing it again! It took me SEVERAL years but I went back to NZ and all of Australasia (on my semester abroad I did 9 countries through my school program (not including free travel!)) I went back for grad school! Do it!!! :)))
I went on Semester at Sea many years ago. Semester at Sea is a once in a lifetime experience, so in a way it is not something you can do over again. The second time around you’d just compare everything to the first time and feel like it’s not the same. If it was with the exact same people then yes, I would do it over again.
Love your videos Gracie! I just had a question, I have seen many videos with people watching movies on their computers, so I am wondering how that works. Are they using Netflix? Or have you used Netflix to watch videos on SAS? Thanks! Ily! Edit: Also about how you download Audio books?
Hey! I had a question. You mentioned that you brought snacks from port into the ship, can you also bring liquids/alcohol into the ship from port or do they check your bags? Just curious!!😍
are you assigned your sea for sea olympics before the voyage? im just wondering so you know what color of things to pack for that day aside from the shirt you purchase on the ship :)
You're probably never going to see this but, I can't believe you went to Kings! I don't go to Kings, but I live in West Palm, I thought that was so cool!
Hey! I was gonna go SP21 but I don't think I am anymore since the itinerary changed :/ but I was wondering how competitive student positions are? Obviously I'd love to have one but idk how likely I am to get one.
I want to do it, but first I have to graduate high school next year if we even start on time(hopefully) and then apply to college and figure it all out
Question: I live in the Netherlands so our school system is different. Whats the difference between Undergraduate student, gap year student and post grad student ?? When im 18 years old and I just finished 8 years of elementary school and 6 years of high school, which ‘student’ am i?? As I said, if this confuses you, I live in the Netherlands and things are different here so thats why I’m confused :)
A gap year is if you have haven’t gone to college or university yet and want to go. Undergraduate is when you haven’t graduated college yet. Post graduate is when you’ve finished college.
Love your videos and I would love to go on SAS when I’m older I’m 14 and saw your videos and want to do SAS now And I love your flamingo print in your room

are you allowed to bring food you get from lido or berlin back to your room?
not technically! they tell you not to but i can't say that i didn't bring a plum or two back to my fridge in my room when we had them on the ship! you actually get in trouble if you get caught!
You are the literally first person (besides me and the kids in my chinese class) that have taken chinese!!! 你好朋友!!
this is basically my dream the only thing that is holding me back is the price and the fact im from the uk. im worried that i wont make many friends because i will be the only one from the uk.
There are so many People from everywhere don’t let that hold you!💓
Americans love people from the UK; if anything I think people from the states will be more inclined to talk to you
girl remember that everyone there is also constantly looking for friends just make sure to put yourself out there!!:))
@@maddieford7854 yep yep yep!!! I was about to comment this😅

Was the food free on the ship? Also do you have any protein bars recommendations?
what i have gotten from all of the SAS videos is that you are provided breakfast ,lunch, and dinner in lido and berlin (the two dining halls). there are snack bars and stuff, but you have to pay extra for those!

can you go to SAS your senior year of college?
I want to go but I really don’t think they have my major :(
www.yumpu.com/en/document/fullscreen/63306564/semester-at-sea-academic-profile-2020 here’s the link to their academic profile if you’d like to check!
You don’t have to have a certain major to go. Any major can go....how cooperative your college is tho that’s another story.
Hey! I was gonna go SP21 but I don't think I am anymore since the itinerary changed :/ but I was wondering how competitive student positions are? Obviously I'd love to have one but idk how likely I am to get one.
Ur so close to 100k!!!!!
Could you use those computers to upload if you wanted
Is it possible to apply and then see which kind of the tuition assistance you are given?

what do you wish you packed more or less of?
I’m only in 8th grade and I’m DYING to do a semester at sea
Are you allowed to buy souvenirs in each country?

Is there an age limit for SAS?
Thank you for being so kind about our Fall voyage getting cancelled and for all the tips!
I feel so terribly for y'all! :(
Gracie O’Connor aww thank you🥺❤️it’s just we lost the discounted tuition so a lot of us can’t join future voyages since it’s expensive :(
