Hi Hunter, Thanks for sharing your passion and all your content. I love this greenhouse cultivation kind of video, I just made a greenhouse myself and I love to keep improving my cultivation area and skills. Thanks for sharing, I would love to see again your own greenhouse, plants and pottery habilities.
@@CactusQuest Well, sure when you feel it you will end up doing it. I would love to see you sowing procedure now after all you have learned from other people. Thanks Hunter and enjoy!
hi Guys! at first i thought: oh man, typically america! no pot with a sign and only the vessels! the look of a german where everything has to be lined up. but the longer I watched, the more excited I was. a really interesting and beautiful collection and wonderfully presented by you. i come from the cactus culture and my heart has started beating fast again. a really nice video! Thank you for showing me. Greetings Helge from Germany!
This is the best video. You touch base on so many small details of care. Well to me it’s important tips and advice that can go a long way for just basic cacti care. Thank you for the amazing video
man this gets me geeked! i have to upload a video of my basement room. i have two pots of the aloinopsis that i started from seed last winter. i got flowers on them last spring and a few buds right now. have a table full of seeds i started this past fall. mostly from mesa and a girl in the ukraine - vincactus. a hobby that i got carried away with that i don't really have anyone around me to talk about it with or share. i love the greenhouse tours. i'm going to be building something similar to this before summer. the past couple years i've been putting everything on a table and underneath the table under an 8ft umbrella and i am terrified every time we get a thunder storm with wind. i'm in PA 6a, so half the year i run the operation in the basement under LED lights. those elephantipes look crazy! i have 5 of those from seed. i actually put those under lights and been watering them somewhat regularly because they're still growing. i notice up here in the winter, the air is so dry, that i have to water some things more than i would in the humid summer months. it's crazy dry right now. the dormant stuff, i water a little bit once every few weeks.
Hi Hunter, What an awesome greenhouse setup and cactus collection. Enjoyed it ! Your pots at Charlie’s greenhouse are super nice, very creative and beautiful
Hi great collection of cacti. At 10.31 on your video can you tell me more about the cactus on the very left of the screen please. I have something similar i reacued it from my local hardwear store. mine stands about 3 inches has narrower trunck and leaves than then yours I have only had it a year and its now growing 3 pup on top.
Picked up a couple of old copiapoas at an auction this year - a haseltoniana and a 20-headed coquimbana. Managed to get then for reasonable prices but they are definitely overpriced here in the UK too.
Hey man I can't stop watching ur vids. Keep this up and in no time ur gonna be a huge channel I know it u have so much potential. Also just ordered two shirts because ur merch is fire. Thank you for the vids!
Loved the video. I have a caudex plant that I just bought called oxalis megalorthiza and can't seem to wake it up. I bought it dormant. It woke up briefly sprouted 3 leaves and 2 blooms then died down again. Do you have any suggestions I could try?
I would do some online research on its natural growth cycle to better understand how it goes in and out of dormancy - im not personally too familiar with that species so you'd be best to consult the online forums
Hunter, I love you man but, I gotta tell you, if I ever see another Copiapoa or an Aireocarpus again, it will be too soon. Sorry, just really tired of them, everyone is on the Copi/Aireo kick these days. I love the native Arizona species, Echinocereus Rigidissimus Rubiuspinis, Saguaro, Opuntia Chya teddy bear cactus and so on. Again, Love ya man, You're one of my favorite RUclipsrs!!!
Well I try to cover a bit of everything - last video was pure Astrophytum. I hear you tho the hype is a bit excessive and the costs going up and up and up are prohibitive for me to be able to buy mature flowering plants. It’s a bummer I feel you.
people have been into ariocarpus for a long time. decades. its not going away either. the plants hold that much appeal. and they're not the easiest to grow from seed. I lost every single one of mine from rust fungus. I got so frustrated I've since hesitated to try again. that was over 15 years ago.
Maybe some day you should contact a company that makes soil mix and rebrand it with your channel name. I bet people would be interested in buying and using it.
THE QUEST CONTINUES!
on and on and on and on
Wtf his pots are insane lol.. amazing staging damn
