This really helps sum up what I'm looking for. Stage 2 lid, Akra, Sprint, Flash, done. Gonna be a bit before I get my exhaust, but when I do I'll be giving you a call David.
Thanks for the comparative testing on the velocity stack mods! I agree the stock stacks appear to be the best for street only application. Airbox lid on the other hand looks beneficial no matter what your setup is (if tuned correctly) and while I kind of understand why TST only sells everything as a racing kit, $200 is a bit pricy if you only want the lid and it's too bad they won't sell the lid separately. Luckily you can get a similar open designed lid from DNA for around $60. Curious if you think increasing the under seat air volume by using a smaller/lighter lithium battery and modifying the battery box would help intake flow any?
I am also working on a lid by itself I doubt it would make much difference if any with a smaller battery. I s there really a battery that is that much smaller? The stock battery is very reasonably sized
I just got a gsx8r and have been leaning towards the m4 exhaust system but had a few questions for you since I know you’ve tried most of the exhaust for this bike. Which exhaust would you consider the loudest compared to stock and which do you think sounds the best?
I think the toce was the loudest and the arrow sounded the best They are both available on my website. The arrow comes with a free flash www.vcyclenut.com/store/c35/Suzuki_GSX8_%2F__V-Strom_800.html
I dont like blanket statements like that. Can it happen ever. Sure. Will the gsx8 motor be damaged if you put a full exhaust on it and dont get a good flash? No. Wont run optimally but it wont hurt it.
I don't think these are worth the money, they are too expensive for the profit you get. It is better to do exhaust line and air filter and stage 2 tuning. But this is my opinion. Once again wonderful work from you, respect
To do stage 2 tuning you need to upgrade the air box and velocity stacks… 2WDW made 88whp with all those mods, massive gains, up from 76 whp… that’s almost 100 bhp…
@sleeper.simulant7327 I never make you do anything to get one oof my flashes. My flashes are always set around your mods and what you want. The velocity stacks hurt the midrange so many people wont want to do them. The stage 2 AB mod ( same as the TST lid that they dont sell on it own, but I will soon) helps from off idle to redline. The stage 2 lid is beneficial no matter what your using the bike for. if you compare my gains to 2wdw you will see I have better gains almost everywhere
@@vcyclenut I haven’t seen your dyno videos, this was in my feed and this is the first of your videos I’ve seen. Will have to check them out! What other bikes do you tune?
@@sleeper.simulant7327 your commenting on a video with them? I specialize in about a dozen bikes. My tuning philosophy and business model is different than the companies turning out high volume tunes on almost every bike out My website is vcyclenut.com Check it out if you like!

what fueling changes are you making for the cylinders that have stacks? leaning or enriching? thanks
It’s not that simple. There are areas I have to take away fuel and areas I need to add fuel.
Thanks, Nice to see it with just the stack swap. Since a lot of those gains are coming from the airbox mod.
Only way to really know

I want the arrow with the free flash. Send me link I’ll purchase right now haha
Can any damage be done to an engine if you do a full exhaust swap and don’t flash? Thanks!
