    I am building mine as a track weekend warrior, mainly street, but with some track days here and there. On my first track day in A mode, I found that the TC light was going crazy punching out of corners. I only ride in novice groups, so I can't really say I was going fast enough to feel the rear shock be a problem. I am curious to get some clipons on it, but I'm worried about the bodywork. I am taking it slower on my build atm, I have mostly TST products on the bike already but that's mainly cause you guys beat the rest of the market. Keep doing what you guys do! you have my support all day, any day.

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  3 месяца назад +2

      If you get clip-ons with 2-3 inch risers, you should clear most of the fairings but the front upper may still need some modifications to prevent interference when turning. Obviously, on race bodywork that's not an issue to modify but chopping up your OEM bodywork may not be the route you want to go. Either way, enjoy that ride and we appreciate the support!

    You're quite tall so you've made complimentary changes to suit your positional & riding style.

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  3 месяца назад

      The mods themselves do not cause the change in lap times. Our riders are still getting in tune with this bike and not riding it to its potential. Any lap time currently can be improved with just a few more laps of experience. Once we reach equilibrium and understand how to re set up for different conditions, we can then conduct lap time analysis with different parts.

    Nice work on that machine, guys! Have you guys thought about any ABS enable/disable switches? I'm leaving hardware in place in as many cases as I can so that the bike can be easily revert back to full ABS if so desired. Noticed there are two circuits with the ABS... the motor and the valve, IIRC. Can you comment on this? Everything I've purchased from you guys is top notch! Keep crushing it out there!

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  3 месяца назад

      Turning off the ABS pump will not accomplish all I need that is corrected by removing the whole system. It will just kill off the intervention of the ABS, but not fix the response of the brakes. For these reasons we will not be pursuing a switchable system for the ABS. There are ways of shutting off the activation of the ABS effect without killing off the speed calculation, but again, that is not something that is fully beneficial so we aren't interested.

    • @EnjoyTheRideMC
      @EnjoyTheRideMC 3 месяца назад

      @@TSTindustries That's your preference, and I respect that. I suppose you could say the same thing about the using rearset risers. The Woodcraft LLC rearsets you offer are the real solution , but I have your risers as a temporary stopgap until I get those.
      I'd like to keep the ABS system in place, make it switchable, and easily reverted if necessary. I'm sure I'm not the only one out here that wants to do it this way. I'll come up with something, but I was just hoping you guys were already on it is all.
      Keep at this stuff guys. You are doing good work.

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  Месяц назад

      There are rubber plugs on the top bolts and locking nuts under the upper triple clamp. If you remove the rubber plugs, you can place an allen key or hex key to hold the bolt while you remove the nut from underneath.

      I would prefer to have the information outlet on that topic be only one place, and that will be in the product page for that set. Those coremoto break/clutch lines custom ordered? I had been considering looking into getting a set but never looked into them before but noticed they don't have a package already made for the 8r

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  2 месяца назад

      This was a pretty custom set-up but we ended up using a 2015+ R1 t-line set-up for the front and bypassed the ABS. Obviously for this, we had to use clip-ons below the upper triple and we got a new master cylinder.

    • @brightheart99
      @brightheart99 2 месяца назад

      @@TSTindustriesI see, I was looking at potentially custom ordering the break and clutch lines on my 8r from coremoto but been rather confused with it all tbh lol. Would you happen to know how many cable for the breaks and how many for the clutch would be needed and the lengths? I've checked in manual and online but I'm either stupid or haven't came across the info

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  2 месяца назад

      @@brightheart99 Unfortunately we do not have that information. If you're bypassing the ABS it's relatively easy but if you plan on retaining it, there are quite a few lines of different lengths and at this time, we don't have that info readily available. As for the clutch, you really shouldn't need another clutch cable unless you want to change it to a hydraulic system or a color change.

    What times were you running on the phase 1 gsx8r when you were having clearance issues?

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  3 месяца назад +1

      We didn't get a chance to find that out. We found clearance issues with our 8S and by the time the 8R was released, we already had our rearset risers ready.

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  3 месяца назад +3

      I'm going to have to jump in on this to be more informative for you. Phase 1 did have the risers already and i still ran out of lean. We were not logging times at these session. I was hanging with another rider averaging mid 25s at this track so in that neighborhood. Once we amass more experience with this bike, and i have enough time to acclimate to what will be needed from me to ride it effectively, i predict i can run some 21s. It has been several years since i was a competitive rider so that is being taken into account here. I am way off my pace. A good and current competitive rider will likely be able to run 16s or 15s on a well set up 8R at this track.

    How does this compare to the ZX4rr you guys took around the track?

    • @TSTindustries
      @TSTindustries  3 месяца назад +2

      The 8R has torque for dayyyys. The 4RR needs to rev out to very high RPM to access the power. The two bikes take a much different style of riding but both arwe super fun. I feel the 4 is more of an attack the track out of the box machine, while the 8R needs a bunch of help to ride the same pace out of the box. We modify all of our track going bikes heavily so ther eis no issue there, however, for a person that just wants to take a showroom bike to the track I think the 4RR would be more conducive to accomplish that goal.
