I am so so happy for Madison. Madi had the toughest draw of the tournament in beating no.1, no. 2, and no.5. She had to beat three top 10 players and top 20 opponents to get through to this incredible achievement. She literally did the impossible. She fought and overcame all the negative mindset of the past. This win is not just about winning a slam but about overcoming her dark side. I love Madi's journey. Such a hard worker. Enjoy this one. It was tough and well earned. Her serving was impressive. Not a single double fault. Forehand was firing. Now rest up because you're going to be doing a lot of winning this year. I wish you good health. If Madison is healthy, she will win Wimbledon. No one will be able to touch her phenomenal serve or forehand on that surface. Keep on shining queen!

Additional proof that anything is possible when President Trump is on your side! Aging Serena Williams still won in 2017 the year of Trump inauguration. I definitely knew Keys would pull it off in 2025 as the history is in favor of her. Before President Trump could save the country and the world he did save one girl from Florida from losing the GS final again.
Behind all that resilience, tenacity and endurance, history played a huge part in this particular success story.

I wasnt her huge fan, but I remember her heartbreak and tears during US open 2023 and now she got me crying. What a beautiful soul she is! Winning her first grand slam at 29 yo and doing it by beating Rybakina, Iga and Sabalenka... Just remarkable.

I know it has been mentioned multiple times. But I just can’t get over the fact that she beat Collins, Svitolina, Rybakina, Iga and Sabalenka in the same tournament. That's INSANE! 100% deserved. Which is cool because many predicted that she would win at least a Slam in her career since she was a junior. Congrats .

The Infosys "Win Predictor" had Sabalenka with a 78% chance to win compared to Keys' mere 22%, and honestly, I took that as a slap in the face. How could they underestimate Keys like that, especially considering how solid she's started this season? It felt like they were writing her off before she even stepped on the court. I was so hyped for this match that I dragged myself out of bed at 5 AM just to catch it, even though my only option was the AO stream featuring those weird AI-generated dolls. Still, I was locked in. When Keys took the first set, I was convinced, this was her tournament to win. But then came the second set, and she dropped it 6-2. My nerves hit. By the time the third set rolled around and the commentators started hyping up Sabalenka’s so-called comeback at 4-4, I couldn’t hold back anymore. I was yelling at my screen, cheering for Keys like my life depended on it. Pretty sure I woke up half the neighborhood, but I didn’t care--this was big. And when Keys finally sealed the win? Man, I almost teared up. It was one of those grand slam moments that reminds you why you love the sport. Seeing her fight through, especially with that little scar on her shoulder--a reminder of everything she’s battled through with injuries--was just incredible. This match? Easily one of the best I’ve seen in a grand slam in years.

As for Keys, been following her since 2015. IMO when she is on , no one can touch her. I'm a big Saba fan, but I'm thrilled for Maddy after so much hearbreak. It was written in the stars and well deserved. She definitely meant business, showing less nerves this time, and I love the racquet under the arm style after each game. Unlike you, I don't mind both players not playing well at the same time, as it just added to the drama, and we got a great match overall.
I think Saba's racquet smash just showed how passionate she is and mad at herself that she didn't play better. Two great, powerful warriors!

I really love your analyses. Am so happy for Keys. She deserves this. Regarding Sabalenka's behavior, people have no idea what these players go through. The kind of emotional roller-coaster we go through as fans who have no direct stake or interest when our favorite lose or win should give us an idea what the players themselves go through. I still feel upset about Federer's 2019 Wimbledon loss. Players are not robots. Even though it might not be always pleasant, there's nothing wrong with players showing raw emotions at times provided no one is harmed.

That forehand 5-5, 30~30 from keys was insane. If she went down 30-40, I think keys would have tighten up, even double fault, that was brave.

This wasn't just a slam win for Maddie. She played and beat the BEST players in the world to take this title. We're talking the # 2 and #1 in succession and a former Wimbledon champ (Rybakina #6). How many players have done that?? It's rare to win a slam and even rarer to win it by beating so many top players of that time. This is one for the history books. Congrats to Maddie for a great great win.

I'm very, very pro-racquet smash, by the way. Leave Saba alone!

Madison has always had the game. What has always stood in Keyes way was Keyes herself. When Keyes began to dip in the second set, I was a little nervous, but in the third set, Keyes shook off the nerves and got back to business. Sabalenka was not at her best until the 3rd set but she didn't lose the match, Keyes took it from her. I am elated that Keyes won, but not just because she is an American, but because she finally lived up to the tennis she has always had.

Nobody said sabalenka shouldn’t be emotional and show her frustration after losing but in this moment after Madison won it wasn’t right she shoulda left the court and did that this was Madison moment

Love love love Maddy's win! It makes me so happy to see someone who's struggled so much getting over the hump to finally do it. Kudos to her. And kudos to Sabalenka. She played a great match as well. I didn't like her smashing her racket after the match, but like you said, that's who she is. She's genuine. And it wasn't disrespectful to anyone else. Overall, amazing match.

Madi's AO run was one for the ages. Madi won 5 three set matches on the way to win. That is the most three setters won in open era history on the way to a slam title win. Madi had to beat the best to be the best. This how I wanted to see Madi win her first slam. Nothing was given everything was earned.

I just want to see some Masters results from her this year, there are 6 Masters events before Wimbledon and if she does well there she might get top-4 seeding at Wimbledon, that will be massive

Congratulations 🎉 to Keys ! Keys has been around during the times of Serena and has always been a heavy hitter with clean long shots . Today she proved she could play an unconventional game somewhat .
Keys is usually fast with few errors, but this had tons of errors .
At the end it all came back to who would get to the finish line first and who had a much stronger conviction .
Clearly keys threw her off her game in the first and second set and the third set was a struggle .
She totally annihilated Sabalenka’s fire power and threw her game off !
Overall Keys hang in there and just proved that she deserved a win and got there first and the rest is history !
