We're going back to clapping at landings.
lol
ROFL😂
Maybe you will because you're a bozo. Flying is safe, quit listening to this bogus media reporting sponsored by Delta Airlines and Airbus.
No
That legit happened on my last two flights, the people in the back started clapping but no one else joined so it slowly died out
Can we drag the United CEO and his crony in charge of SFO operations out for questioning?
What does the CEO have to do with two airplanes clipping a wing?
@@erauprcwaBecause he is too busy dressing in drag and implementing DEI than focusing on safety. Source: Me, former airline mechanic 20 yrs SFO. It used to me the Union leadership that groveled before the ruling party. Now it’s the Union leadership AND the C suite!
@@coldwater5707 Again, that has nothing to do with two random airplanes clipping a wing...
@@coldwater5707Honestly gonna wait for the FAA/NTSB report on this. However it’s probably likely to DEI pilots or ATC. Back in the day when I see black pilots I think nothing of it, now a days I’m kinda worried and hope they aren’t walking towards my flight.
Every week there are more and more airplane incidents.
Funny isn't it.
The United CEO made it clear what is their priority, and it's not safety.
Sure. Divisiveness, Indoctrination, Exclusion.
United SFO’s grounds crew have to be somewhat responsible for all of these mishaps
United SFO is a menace to aviation/maint right now. The tire falling (on take off) tops them all so far...hopefully nothing worse. On my last flight with United, the captain was misled to stop and shut down 10 feet from the bridge door limits. Had to wait for a tug.
they need to hire more DEI pilots so they cannot be blamed for accidents like this

DEI, Trained for sex, not the job
WOW!
Everyday its something in the airline industry. Speaks volumes for the quality of the people.
its more off a quantity than a quality issue. There is both a pilot as well as ATC shortage, and the pilots and ACT who are working are being overworked as a result, making them more prone to mistakes. The US still has the strictest experience requirements for commercial pilots of any nation in the world. Same goes for US ATC standards.

No, it doesn't speak volumes about anything. The drive by media is now reporting about every non incident in aviation. Planes clip wings all the damn time. You're easily manipulated and paranoid.

Someone needs to investigate United's ground operations before something else happens. From landing gear wheels falling off to a cargo door breaking to a plane going off the runway to this....
Ya, like what the hell United?! More issues compared to the other airlines.

New motto “United we die”
Save that motto for when it gets worse.
Short cuts to save on maintenance. Shareholders profit obviously takes the front seat.
This isn't even a maintenence issue. Media spinning you into a good yard
@@joeysworldsewermaintenance was an example of cutting corners. Boeing is losing the competition to Airbus in terms of keeping up with the demand. They have huge backlog of orders . They work with substandard suppliers. All these culminates to the issues they currently face.
@@jaymsf4503 backlog of orders is a good thing. Hate to tell you, but Airbus also has a 10 year backlog.
Has nothing to do with maintenance
This is why the newer airports like SLC are building linear terminals. Planes pull straight in and back straight out. These circular terminals with jetways sticking out like spokes are very difficult to get these much larger planes in and out. They were fine 50 years ago when anything larger than a 737 was rare.
The thing is linear style terminals take up a lot of land which is fine for cities with lots of flat land and lower population density but SFO is wholly different it is constrained by the bay to the east and the City on the north south and west.
Every airport can do it!!
At this point they're doing it on purpose
Right!? SMDH
I’m thinking the same. There’s just no way they can be this stupid.

Why is it only United having these issues at SFO?
Because United does almost all of the flying at SFO. Delta has the same issues at its hubs, American and Southwest too. But the news isn’t telling us about those because they don’t care about giving us context.
@@utcotxcomnco Delta and Airbus are paying for all of these articles
United and Boeing the love story of a lifetime
I don't know if I agree with that retired airline pilot. United is the dominant carrier at SFO so that works against their statistics. But as someone that works in the industry, United has had a hard time hiring mechanics at San Francisco due to the cost of living. So i'm sure it's a revolving door as mechanics leave for greener pastures after gaining a bit of seniority.
I'm sure everyone thinks that they make a lot of money, but that's only the pilots. You would be surprised how much they pay mechanics and ramp personnel starting out. I knew mechanics that worked at JFK that had to hold 2 jobs to survive. So my guess is that SFO is a very junior base for mechanics with a high percentage of new mechanics out of A&P school.
they need to hire more DEI pilots so they cannot be blamed for accidents like this
@@vadalarc2948 Never go full reet hard.
I know a lot of people who retired from United after covid who were at SFO.
SFO maintenance facility needs close hands on management and also close FAA oversight. The bathroom incident I doubt was SFO related more likely the incoming aircraft was late but local Frankfurt CS wanted the outbound flight operating on schedule so “maybe” the lav truck got bypassed by ground service in the interest of an on time departure close out from the gate. Saying of the day.. Shit happens …😊

This airline is scary!
No it isn't. You just believe everything the media tells you
Wait till United puts those pilots with little experience
That’s definitely in the wheelhouse of pilot/ground control/marshaller error, for once. Not maintenance or a factory issue.
Always United... and always SFO!?
Always? Hardly a fact.
Hardly the case. Just bogus media reporting trying to make major incidents out of non issues
@@nooshinscorner
And yet one of the guys in the video literally said sfo was the center of the problems SMDH pay attention
sfo is a main hub for United so yeah they would have the most issues
United is the third largest airplane fleet. SFO is their fifth largest location but second highest for seat capacity x km (aka has a lot of larger, longer flights). Almost half the people flying out of SFO are flying on United, over three times more than any other carrier.
If something is happening at SFO, it's a very high chance of being united. If something is happening with united, it's a high chance to be at SFO purely by numbers.
Also... Look into ntsb and similar aviation databases. There's a small percentage of issues happening for all carriers all over, but the news is covering the SFO issues due to the high profile ones being more dramatic and so now it's a popular news stories. A delta (second largest) lost a wheel in February but there was no viral video (happened prior to take off. However, a delta last year also lost a wheel during takeoff that almost hit another plane, also no viral video so basically no news coverage. There's videos of the atc audio for both incidents on RUclips). News covers what gets attention and often doesn't give folk an accurate assessment of issues. Also, those more dramatic failures may be more manufacturing defects then united maintenance, oddly enough.
I haven't flown on an airplane in years, haven't been on united in ten years, but I like to be informed (and like watching the atc videos -- it's interesting how these situations happen and are handled).
Who are we hiring nowadays? Ground personnels to CEO need to be qualified.
LoL @ "qualified CEO's",.....good one.
Exactly
My flight from Houston to LA also had some issues before take off. Break gear was not working
United in shambles right now
Jeez, another united incident? crazy.
I flew United 2 wks from SFO and it was a perfectly good flight😊😊
I have flown all my life and in my 53 yrs, I have never been worried until the last year. I won't be flying anywhere anytime soon...
Your right. Your choice. Driving to New York can be a bit** though.
@melaniewhite3300 I agree, it’s not a good time to be in the skies! Staycations are becoming ever more appealing
Good choice. Or else you won’t have a life to choose.
Flying today is exponentially safer than it was 50 (or even 30) years ago. But is it safer than it was 10 years ago? probably not.
@@nooshinscorner driving is far more dangerous than flying

Because the media manufacturers these incidents. They aren't real.
i am transiting at SFO with united next month, should I be worried?
I notice that United likes to cut corners on maintenance. I took a United flight from Newark to Houston, and one of the window blinds by my seat was screwed shut. I have taken enough flights to notice that during landing and take off those blinds are supposed to be open.

How about asking the pilot or co pilot about what may cause them to do that?
Try reporting with details of the subject at hand instead of filling in with old information that is totally irrelevant. Doing that would be a refreshing change.

No actually they are assigned jobs at the beginning of their shift. Had a friend who was yelled at by the union boss for working too fast. He was told to slow down and never come back looking for more work.
