  • In 1967, a Sikh man from Wolverhampton was sacked from his job as a bus driver because he refused to remove his turban and shave his beard. At the time, wearing a turban and driving a bus was against the Wolverhampton transport committee's regulations. This led to a dispute which ran for over 2 years, during which Enoch Powell delivered his Rivers of Blood speech. 50 years on, Balvinder Sidhu meets Tarsem Singh Sandhu, who started the campaign for change.
