I found Saint Motel cause I went to the P!ATD concert and they're opening for him and their music was lit. I honestly have no idea how I've never heard their music before.
St Motel are hard to categorize, and therefore hard to sell. Whatever you call it, St Motel's music is smart, well crafted pop, but I'm afraid they will end up like so many talented LA bands that never found the wider audience they deserved.
I absolutely LOVE this song, but that's exactly how i felt about pumped up kicks like a YEAR before it started playing on major radio stations and went mainstream and just like these guys, before foster the people had an album. everyone would make fun of me at school for listening to it saying it was weird, and a year later they would be playing it non stop on kiss FM. so i'm kinda glad this still hasn't gone mainstream, but when it does, it'll be just like pumped up kicks and gotye >_
