Wow - thank you Ryan & your great research. I remember Camden Town from the early 80's, infact I bought a Tweed Jacket there (not sure how much). It was just an ordinary London street market it then. Great memories
Like you, I've been to London a couple of times and I've never been there before! Glad I did, and I'll have to explore more of the food market the next time.
You have no idea, I was kicking myself for eating at the diner. This trip to Camden Town was planned on a whim as we were walking to the airport hotel. So I knew absolutely NOTHING about it, so the food market did not even appear on my radar until I walked into it. 🤣
@@geoffreyhansen8543 I think most of these cities with old industrial history would have these canals. I saw them in Birmingham, and most recently a couple of weeks ago in Edinburgh. And they are very tranquil... Beautiful.
Hi Ryan . I spent the first 34 yrs of my life before moving to Australia in the UK . I’m ashamed to say I’ve never been to Camden Town and had no idea it was like . I’ll certainly pay it a visit on my next trip back to my homeland . BTW seeing those canal boats reminded me of my home town of Birmingham , which incidentally has more canals than Venice , that’s what the locals say anyway .Thanks Ryan , and I’ll ask for a Chicken Schnitty on a Waffle when next in the Gawler Arms Hotel 😀😀
@@ryansofly . My wife’s family is from the Cotswolds . We could have some great conversations if we ever met at the Gawler Arms or the Williston Hotel .. Have a good weekend .👍
Is it weird that what caught my attention was no 3+ level commercial buildings?. Those from the 70s/80s punk era would be happy to know that the area is still non-conformist 😁

I liked the canal boats in Camden Town.
I think it is such a beautiful part of London. In fact, I went back there 2 weeks ago for a good feed!
To me the canals are very British so I'm so glad they kept them at Camden as they are the only ones I got to see when I was in Britain.

Birmingham is as far north as I've been to in UK. I went on to Yorkshire Dales Whitby, Cotswold etc after that. Next month I'll be in Scotland! 😏

Yes, there's something so edgy about Camden! Love it!
