i've been there twice last month, it's a decent place with good people - but the bartenders, however, were short tempered and just plain sarcastically rude to customers including myself.. quite a disappointment on that matter, but the beer selection is nice.
Hey, guys! I lived in London ten years ago, my favourite place was Camden ❤️ The multiethnic musical gatherings were amazing, I'll never forget! Valeu!
it is amaizing... When I used to work in that club in 91, there was different mood in it. I remember gigs like Hole, Babies in Toyland, Cop Shoot Cop, Revolver, Daisy Chainsaw...In that time it was one of the most important indie venue in London. I see, things completely changed;-)
That is very cool guys loved all the venues in London great awesome tribute too to Amy wine house on one of the places and I got a teary eye when you guys kissed Amy wine house statue right there I started to cry very awesome moments guys I enjoyed the video it’s been fun and amazing and u guys were awesome in this segment loved it all the venues are the best ever especially on Amy wine house memory very awesome performance u rock guys love u guys 😘🙏💗🤘
I went to London for the first time in May last year, and of course I HAD to check out Camden Town. I was absolutely blown away by how it's just absolutely buzzing with alternative venues, music, and people. We don't have anything like this in Australia, it really is a very special part of London.
I've in the underworld a few times with my friends to see some of the hard rock and roll bands there but as I getting old now I prefer venues that are not too busy or crowded; another good one was "the unicorn" as they have there some times good bands playing, and an old venue that does not exist anymore was "the standard" by Black Horse tube station, it used to be one my favorite places to go with my English mate (my partner in crime) and listen to tribute bands like "Lime House Lizzy", Dirty DC, Rainbow Rising and few more that I cannot remember now........ and what to say about the "ASTORIA", by Tottenham court road station?? that one is long time gone, now there are a lot of shops and the new Tottenham Court Road tube station, the old venue is gone ...........pity as I assisted there to see MOTORHEAD, URIAH HEEP, DIO, HAWKWIND, TWIN DRAGONS, SAXON, BLUE OYSTER CULT ........... and some other bands that I cannot remember (it was too much rock and roll back in the day) but now at my 61 years old I prefer to listen to my heavy metal music in my hifi with my old cassettes (yes I do listen to cassette tapes) and my MD (minidisc) recorder machine..........keep on rocking guys. 😈😈🤘🤘
i absolutely want to go back to London, had great places for rock music and sadly missed out on it due to an incident. I miss it so much but soon I will return. I like wearing my suits and whatnot, but absolutely enjoy dressing down in a very gothic style feeling stiff free and feel super sociable.
What you may have not realised as you walked around these wonderful venues is that under your feet is a massive deep level bunker. There are a few RUclips urbexers that have managed too get in, and have filmed the interior. No mention of Mods; Ska/2-tone; Madness or Punk, which is what Camden Town is most famous for.
Very nice places !! Thanks for sharing !! Come on down to downtown Montreal Canada, there is some awesome places too!! I know its pretty far !! Maybe one day, promise you wont be disappointed!! That was a very cool video !!!🤘🤘
Thank you Zack! We're glad you enjoyed the video, we had loads of fun filming it. Ah we'd love to come to Montreal, if we ever find ourselves there we'll need a tour guide!
Buenos recuerdos de Candem Town, estube en Semana santa e incluso conocí a Anderson García Rodrígues el punki brasileño que siempre esta en el puente animando la zona con su gracia..
hey guys love the video, is london still a good place to have career as a singer-songwriters ?or should chose a city like los angeles, i am into gigging and networking.
Loved the video. I was looking for something like this as I will relocate to the UK in a couple of months. Museums and traditional pubs are great and all, but the mainstream "tourist tips and guides" never talk about the music scene, let alone metal and rock. I was wondering if you guys have any insight on how welcoming or not these places (and its patrons) are towards foreigners. Specially non-white people. I know that the metal scene unfortunately has some bad apples regarding this, which makes me a little wary, even though I love underground venues and pubs with live music such as those you showed.
Two questions 1) the places who have bands play in it, is it during the day, or in the evening? , And if in the evening, what time? 2) do u know any place that has live band who do rock cover versions?
Hey Oren! Thanks for watching. So to answer your questions: 1) Most of the time venues that hold live gigs will have banes play in the evening/night, but sometimes depending on what the event is, bands can play during the day sometimes too. 2) There is an event called 'Metalworks' which is held every Sunday night at 9pm at The Underworld (the venue beneath The World's End pub, right by Camden Town tube station), and it's exactly that! A live band that plays famous rock & metal covers. They are awesome, go and check it out sometime if your local to London! 😁
the thing about camden lock is that every 1 is walking around with guitars they brought from argoss 90% of people that play in camden can not play at all

Angel Witch, Gaskin, WitchFynde, Witchfinder General, Tygers oi Pan Tang, Tamk , MendexPrey and tons of other N.W.O.B.H.M. bands, what about 'em? Greetings from Turkey by the way, hundrds of thousands of Brit bands from early 80's and nobody talks abou 'em
The Black Heart is amazing, often end up there with my best friends. They are Trans friendly, but the toilets are pretty bad. Good beer and a safe place. Underworld bouncers can be a bit jobsworths at time and have been refused entry there for wearing sneakers and a skirt.
American musicians resent my talent, I hear they respect poets in the uk, what about rock and rollers? I wrote a rock opera JUST MIGHT RISE AGAIN on my channel I worked real hard on it it deserves to be heard on its merit
another metal pub was THE CROBAR. 5 min walk from tottenham crt raod tube. but its now shut down. during covid. due to a prick landlord and goverment not helping it out. was a brill pub. small. it was like being at a concert. that small.
Hi guys am from Cardiff , we only have one Rock Club called Fuel ,Only plays todays rock music nu-metal,its not my sort of music. Only listin to the good old rock and metal of the 60's,70's and 80's era. will never listin to that so called rock.
ah boys come down to the jam at blues kitchen!!! i’m doing the sound for it every sunday!!!!! great video!!!
Can't believe you missed out the Devonshire Arms in Camden, that is the number 1 metal bar in Camden in my opinion.
fair point! I think it might've been closed at the time because of covid... could've still mentioned it tho :)
@@PeteVinniePlay it's possible it was, sorry I did not realise the timeliness when you did it, good video though.

Awesome man! So glad you liked it! Our pleasure! 🤘🏻

thanks mate!
Quite sad that you guys never got to experience Camden how it was in the late 90s/early 00s. Was much better back then and far more metalheads around.
❤
