Bravo as always 😂 the transmissions meeting their outdoor shelflife 😢 just found a weird 80s lawn tractor that I need to identify excited to tear it up with it soon
Great video. I have one to repair, where the axle seals have leaked out enough of the fluid that it won't operate. I am going to tear it down, to replace the seals, (assuming that I can find them). This was a good review (except for the dirt part, I have NEVER done that myself) :-)
Transax transplant I have a 30 y.o. Murray 11/36ic that was increasingly difficult to change gear. I acquired another transaxle 10 years ago, and seeing it has 10 years less use than my one so it must be in good or better condition...right? Put it on, and now the mower won't move forward or back. I see the drive belt is turning the rear pulley on the transax. I lift the back up to see if there is the slightest movement and there is nada. 😑 Any ideas anyone...
I didn't realize that the baby was here. My sincere congratulations on y new arrival. I don't know if John has a brother or a sister. You never said. Any way Best wishes 🙏. Your Indiana viewer.
Hey I’m really in need of some help, I have a 4360 and one of the axle popped out so I split it open and got all the internals back together, but my top case isn’t sitting flush, it wobbles and I’m afraid of tightening it down like that, have you ever had anything like that happen??
Congrats on the birth of the baby. Boy I am guessing. Name? Also great video, but have a question. Would cleaning the outside of the trans, and maybe sanding the shifter and input shafts help with getting them apart a little easier? I am thinking the Rust / Dirt might be causing issues when you pop them apart. Dave, Fredericksburg VA.
Boy Jethro. On the long shifters I do tend to sand them down. But the problem is the 1 inch long hole it rust expands in the case. At the end of the day its a problem with many solutions all of them with some form of clean up after.
The MTDs are the ones I hate but the Murray is made by Stanley tools company and I would think is a better choice but then my favorite is the AYP made units

Jethro is baby's name. And thank you.
shake and break tool might work well for removing housing bolts . they hammer downward instead of counterclockwise like impact wrenches .

@@jessifoxy9218 Thank you for the reply. Best wishes and Happy holidays to you and your family ❤️
What do you do if the bolts that hold the spring and shift balls wont come out?
When I saw your capsized boat, I was wondering if the proprller's shaft seal had leaked.
Do you know the part number for the axle rigth the rim is weld stuck iv’e try everything
put a outside bearing on the input shaft. then you can run super tight belt .

@@redneckcomputergeek Copy that. Apply Bruit force when necessary.
You say "a dead transmission". Why do you say that cos you seem to be fixing them all the time.
How can I tell if I have a dead transmission? Thanks.

what do you put into the spicer transmissions? gear oil?
Wheel Bearing Grease what ever is cheap. If its for a mud mower I use boat trailer grade.
@@redneckcomputergeek ok thank you
