One cool interview. I’ve been a fan of Carlos Santana since the Woodstock years and what a story. He shares a very personal and perceptive perspective on our existence as human beings here. I was mesmerized. Incredible. Can’t wait for the next album.
...me too, even for a wee-bit longer. pre-Woodstock when "Santana" would play GG Park, the Avalon, Original Fillmore, and lots of other small venue Bay Area gigs...last time I saw Carlos live was at the Memorial for Bill Grahm...Polo Ground, GG Park.
I was delighted to listen to this conversation last evening!!! I have been living in the light for years. Wonderful to hear well known people sharing such joy! We need this now.... all is well.
This man is the modern Ghandi of music and soul. He inspires us every day if we allow him in. I have been a fan since Woodstock and saw an underground vid of his family and friends & that he has an open heart and sold to loving each minute. The vid was released to public last year.
Carlos Santana a loving heart that speaks with his music and with his incredible musical talent Love Carlos Santana what a gift to us all to get to hear him God bless his existence and his loved ones
Same Carlos... the sun, the Earth, the Moon... now he added time, gravity, and light... no wait, I think he always had light! "Godzilla energy in the Bible??? Lol
Carlos Santana is of the highest lightworkers 🙏 There is truth to his words ~ Everyone...listen ~ bc he know's precisely what is going on. I truly hope he will be in my Garden when I return to the light 💛
He is brushing turnip leaves off of his shoulder. It comes from an idiom “ Do you think I fell off the turnip truck?” It means like: do you think I’ve recently sustained a head injury to fall for such nonsense?
Te amo Carlos! Eres muy especialidad! Y acuerdo. No tengo miedo, solamente el amor! Y no tengo el tiempo. Eres el luz y tambian nosotros somos los dios!
Carlos do you need to get to your age 74 meaning that when you playing with your playing in 74 was f****** funky brilliant and absolutely rocket age catches all of us but the purity of the Rock and the funk and the soul of music never leaves us I'm sure you could touch it again
Will do! Did you hear what William Shatner said when he saw the Earth from space? Profound. If only we all saw how special our time here is. And how fragile it is.
Carlos,... love your music forever,... but that bullshit about connecting goodness and light - accepting our OWN light and creating,... BLAH< BLAH< BLAH,.... whatever,... play the solo to Black Magic Woman and I won't throw my beer on stage!!! Seriously - Carlos,... believe whatever bullshit you want - but Nobody else is at the concert for any other reason than to party and enjoy THEE only spiritual thing there is: MUSIC!!!
Not sure what he means by “we need to update the Bible”. Here is what God says in His word: John 1:1 - “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” Hebrews 13:8 - “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” Malachi 3:6 - “‘I the Lord do not change…’” The Bible does not need to be updated or changed. It is written as God intended. Jesus loves you and died for your sins. Live for Him💕 God bless
Wow...if only there had been enough of us "then" (1969!) to catalyze wide-spread social acceptance of the Path Carlos Santana started on...to gather more ligjt-seekers along the way...then today would not be dominated by dark-seekers today. Yet~ ~ ~ it's never too late! But all too soon, perhaps, "too late" will become "now."...so like the band that played-on on-board the sinking Titanic we might be seen by the next sapient race after us... ... ... ...
Anderson cooper first says it the best interview w/Carlos then he later says it wasn’t. Forked tongued.. if anyone has the link to him contradict ing himself please add the link , thanx
"Gratitude is very powerful. ...we're at that place where you can program your whole molecular structure to say, 'today I'm only going to contemplate and entertain thoughts that are inspiring and elevating..." Is he being serious? His entire interview was nothing more than meaningless platitudes that only SOUND profound to those who don't read much.
@@heftyjay1 Criticism and negativity are not equivalent. But here, how's this for a more positive criticism of Santana in this interview: I'm ELATED and grateful (there's that gratitude ;) ) that I don't suffer the same apparent intellectual shortcomings from which Carlos Santana appears to suffer! :D :D!!
As a musician I give Santana his space. But outside of that he's always been full of crap. Annoying by inviting himself to be involved in playing with many musicians as he can. Not too people know that many musicians don't want to play with him, but if rejected you'd be outcasts. Plus so many musicians who played and helped in his early days he now ignores them. Dave Grohl and Carlos Santana should hold hands and skip along bcuz they have so much in common. Great musicians; horrible fake people.
Let's be honest; these artists - musicians, actors, etc. - they do good work, they perform their craft well, but it doesn't always mean that they're intelligent. But almost inevitably, they try so hard to make themselves appear so. Here is a guy who is pretty okay at guitar (which requires skill, but arguably NOT intelligence), but he's fumbling to find the most "sophisticated" words to use so as to sound intelligent. In lockstep with him is Anderson Cooper who, after Santana used the word "effugent," exclaims "this is the best interview ever! You're blowing my mind!" When in reality he's thinking to himself, "I don't know that word, but Santana just used it so it must be profound!" Of course, he didn't know the word - he didn't respond in a way that indicated he even knew what Santana meant, but, rather, shouted out how great the interview was going. People, stop trying to impress others and just speak within your own means. If you don't have a large vocabulary, it's fine, as long as you make your points clearly. Speech isn't supposed to be used to impress; it's supposed to be used to convey your ideas clearly. Celebrities, you're good at what you do, but stop pretending that your work is more important than simply being entertainment.
@@robinfoster1332 Oh yeah, gee, every bit of that 50-60 seconds of energy that I spent speaking truth in a way that can actually be understood. Talk about feeling sorry for people, I feel sorry for what appears to be the majority of people who are duped by these nonsense-speaking wannabe intellectuals who speak in these completely hollow, nonsensical platitudes. You have no idea what he is even saying - you CAN'T because it literally does not make sense what he's saying. It's those of you who deserve the sympathy, not me; I'm doing fine. I'm just surprised that no one jumped on me for misspelling effulgent. Oh yeah, that's right, because no one knew what it meant in the first place, yet they're in awe of how well he speaks. I could speak in nonsense too, throw in some big dictionary words that every day people don't use, and I bet you all would be like, wow, he's smart! Don't have a clue what any of it means, but he sounds smart! Haha, SOOOO entertaining you all are! Where would we be without idiots... Sigh.
I love this man! I want more.

There is a huge difference between Carlos and the junk many other musicians are spewing. He is fantastic.
Warmest Aloha, this interview will be Iconic very soon. imho

Saved...I didn't think that this interview would hit like that.
Love it when truth is expressed
Carlitos goes through the stratosphere answering each question, but I love his work. Viva el maestro Carlos Santana 🙏🏻👌🏼✌🏽❤️
Great interview with Carlos Santana !!!!!!! He is a living angel on earth today. I believe in everything he tells and teaches.
Docsaxman, please keep this video public🙏🏼 I love going back and listening again, it's really just so great.

So spiritual. Shilling for an apartheid show.
We are all wretched sinners in need of a savior. Sad that Carlis is a new age person and not a Christian,
We don't ALL need to be Christians. Obviously YOU need it. Don't judge others, they don't need it.
"Impecable integrity at a high level" that is very important, the opposite of Trump and his followers

Long-term effects of drug use. WTF is he talking about?
