Anyone having a transcript of interview where they mention about Santana would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

I could not love this more! I was BLESSED to have an older brother that was SO into music, I had an older sister too, but my older brother was before her, so I was like 12 yrs old, going to school & telling my friends about The Doors, Carlos Santana and I knew what Innadoddavita Baybay meant, which is absolutely nothing. I told all my friends about Alice's Restaurant and Carol King and so many more. I'm blessed to still have my brother! I Love HIM and you so much Carlos!!
I had the honor off seeing this master art work during the 70's in Glasgow , Scotland. The support group/ban was Earth Wind & Fire. Brilliant night. !!
My absolute favorite since 1973-1976 whe I served in the US Army at El Paso and got to know his music and the wonderful music of Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.
❤this is the best prove, there must be a God out there to love us this much, giving us such genius performers and listening the music like dating God Himself ❤
He's an icon of the revolution that occurred in music in the 60s. A phenomenal guitarist. I saw Santana live in Denver, CO when I was 15 in the early 70s, and it remains one of my greatest memories of my life. Their music is just as relevant now as it was when it was created. And his music with Santana was groundbreaking for us bc it was the first exposure to latin music most of us white kids had other than late night radio stations out of Texas of Mexico on long road trips. AND I wish artists would keep their opinions to themselves about current social issues bc they just don't know what they're talking about and it's damaging. He's wrong about gender and transness and makes us older folks look bad. A lot of us are fully versed and supportive of the changes happening in our awareness of gender and sexuality.
Can't say I agree with you that "artists" should keep their mouths shut. Everyone has a right to express their opinion about anything. However, I'm not sure what point Carlos was trying to make with his statement as it seemed somewhat vague & contradictory.
I was 16 the show was at the stock show arena February if I remember was my first time also one of my greatest memories have been blessed to have seen him many times since he is great. However and there is always a however in life, he is a Raider fan.
of course they have a right to their opinions!! Not disputed. But they should really think about what they're saying first and not issue something as uninformed at his comments were. @@brucecaldwell6701

Iconic! Heard Carlos's music in 1968 before Woodstock and have been a fan ever since! People can be who they are but we are born with either male or female organs -- that is a fact. What someone wants to do with their body parts is their business.
I'm 73. Speaking for myself only. There are a handful of musicians whose music has the ability to transform you. Their sound is so powerful it demands you stop what you're doing and listen Just listen. With all of them it's crystal clear a higher power is at work. I am, of course, talking about: Mr. Santana, Eric Clapton, Gregg Allman, Ray Cooper, Phil Collins, Derek Trucks, Ray Charles, Whitney Houston. Probably left out a few, but this is my list. I’ve been a Santana devotee since Woodstock. I am so sad to learn his remarks about Trans people. We are all sharing this existence & deserve respect & acceptance.
His bigoted comments surprised me. Carlos professing to be a spiritual man seems to be just an act. Overall, this interview showed to me that he is driven more by sexual lust, rather than spiritual love. It saddens me. But, we all have life lessons to learn from and grow.
He's not quite Clapton (currently on tour, a must-see) but an important figure in Chicano rock (Smooth was pretty cheesy though :) Knew about his sex abuse, a heroic figure. His wife Cindy reminds me of Sheila E. Long live Santana!
Let's not forget Neal Schon who played on and pin the song. Song of the wind for Carlos. I believe Carlos played at the end of the song itself it's a masterpiece. Thank you Neal Schon
If you have never gotten high on good old American rock & roll, you just have not lived and Santana was better than sin semilla back then, all by himself 😊
Correct! He wasn't targeting anyone...he was telling the facts. The U.S. is going to be in for a dose of reality as the overall Hispanic population keeps going up as the 21st century continues proceeding, the majority of Hispanic families are built upon a strong moral foundation while at the same time being respectful and tolerant of the handful of non-traditional persons in society, though in fact those persons (trans) account for less than one percent of the entire U.S. population, they aren't deserving of any "special" legal protections anymore than anyone from the more than 99 percent of the remaining U.S. population are. Unsurprising at the comments from people that think they have to sympathize with all of the weird, fringe parts of society, I would dare comment that most rational persons don't even spend a second of time giving any thought at all to what any "trans" person is up to doing on a average day, lol.
I wonder what was the context. The problem is now people saying things with no need to say them. If he was asked about it on stage , I agree with him speaking his mind. If he wasn’t asked, he just shouldn’t have said anything. There was no need. Love his music, his talent is so admirable. But, there’s just no need for anything else.
