I used my phone (which is just over two years old and in great condition) as a nav device in a dashtop holder while traveling through Yuma in 115 degree heart. The battery swelled and started to separate the back cover. I was bummed, thinking I'd need to go through the cost and hassle of a new cellphone. Following your video to a tee, pausing as needed, allowed me to replace the battery. I'm typing this from my cellphone. THANK YOU!!!
pretty easy todo with this thorough guide. Just don't be impatient like me with getting the back cover off... mine cracked in a few places while prying it off. but I use a case anyway. This is just a backup phone too since I upgraded.

With changing ybe components of a mobile phone do you take any precautions for grounding? Do you have a wired strap or something like this?
Considering they're going in there with metal tweezers, my guess is they're not too worried about damaging the phone 😂 Edit: Just saw them bend the hell out of the ribbon cables. That's a yikes. Also missed removing the old adhesive before bonding the back cover back onto the phone.

That's not how it works.
Memory is flushed when you power off your phone, regardless whether battery is attached or not.
Persisted data is on the internal storage and does not require power to keep the data, that's why it's persistent.
Nonetheless, it's always a good idea to back your stuff up, just in case you somehow damage your phone.

Please be honest: are you making this look easier than it actually is? I imagine unscrewing/screwing the screws and removing the connectors/battery is very simple, as well as peeling back the metal charging cover. But removing the rear cover HAS to be a lot more difficult than you showed. In any case, the fact thag you only need to pop off the rear cover would make this one of the easiest phones to repair, as opposed to having to fiddle witg the screen glass
Thanks for your feedback. Well the challenging part is removing the back cover, for that you needs tools and patience. Also we have edited the video on removing process. Which always takes time to remove the back cover. Sorry about that, but we have to do it

Don't use glue, use the original adhesive to put it back together, poor tutorial.
Thanks for the feedback.. well this is b7000 glue which is using for phone repairs. It can easily melt it out. This is not super glue. The reason we are using is , unlike the adhesive, this is widely available to purchase.
