This should be a home run for the brand. A much needed new model.

Ron what is sad to me is....clearly Stellantis could have put this 325 bhp engine in the Stelvio and Giulia models. Its the same engine, no doubt about it. Alfa gets the lessor version of this 2.0 engine.

The real problem is that Stelvio and Giulia don't get any hybrid motors which in Europe is a big issue. It means no money from the state when you buy them plus there are limits on where you can go in the city and more taxes to be paid yearly. Europe has become a nightmare for ICE motors.

@@moma2911 I was not aware of this. Thanks for the update. Here in the US, the 325 bhp engine would be a nice update to those models however. Or, a new hybrid combo for these vehicles.

Is it quiet inside at high speed?

As an italian, I find the exterior too similar to the macan and the interior is dull... good for men in their 60es or 70es...Stelvio is still my number 1 choice. Hopefully the granturismo will have a more modern interior, Maserati has always been a brand for old men in Italy but they do need to refresh things a lot to please modern taste.

Even with all of the updates you still find the interior dull???

Being Italian how? Descendant so... more like, American? Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and has nothing to do with one's nationality or heritage.

@@RonsRides Everyone here in Italy still finds Maserati an old man car. They need to change that to sell more cars, since Marchionne took over Maserati has been nothing but a huge disappointment in sales. Marchionne really killed both Alfa and Maserati. It is gonna take a lot of bold moves from Peugeot and Tavares to change that momentum. They do need to change the perception of the brand and put some life into those interiors. They look so boring and uninspired and the colors...man those look like the color of a soviet commie party meeting in the 70es...commie brown and red and boring black ain't gonna sell. Looking like a Macan clone ain't gonna work either. They need something more original.

@@moma2911 It is all about marketing! The latest Alfa Romeo and Maserati are super beautifull and not boring as you saying. But People like to buy Porsche Macan with Volkswagen chassi and engines 😅

@@nikosstories the problem is that Marchionne didn’t have enough money to invest in technology therefore Alfa and Maserati had great design and handling but lagged in all the rest. Now the situation is reversed but even worse in a sense, Tavares has the technology but he only cares about maximizing productivity and reducing costs, so he will just exploit the Alfa and Maserati brands and produce generic models in those Peugeot multi models platform and only compete in the mass market segments of compact suv.
Stelvio Giulia and giulietta are the last real Alfas on earth, from now on there will be nothing left of the heart and souls of Alfa. Sad but it is what it is.
