    Then and now - we show you the Men's 100m Freestyle at Los Angeles 1932 and at Tokyo 2020 head-to-head! Back then, Japan's Yasuji Miyazaki won gold in a time of 58.2, while at Tokyo, it was Caeleb Dressel who crowned himself Olympic champion in a time of 47.02.

    I sincerely don't think 11.18 sec is so relevant difference. I thought it would be 20-25 sec like the double of the speed.

      Yeah but swimming is a hard sport so it’s hard to drop time that is a lot and a big difference

      @@Prxncess_Sophia I know. I've been swimming 4 times a week in the past 12 years.
      However 70 years apart from 1932 to 2022 I still think with all the advances in training, techniques, equipment, medicine and physiology the difference would be bigger.

      @@FernandoCFC With water being so dense resistance is exponential as the speed increases so a small increase in speed requires an incredible improvement in technique and strength.
