Good come back story. I hope it grows out of the super fussy stage, once the root system gets big.

I just bought a Regale...but I am afraid it is not even a regale.....the root system is great so you live and learn.....I think the seller may have gotten the wrong plant from the vendor...but I will have to wait and see.....great job regrowing your baby back to health :) you will love it more because all the work you poured into it! Thanks for the nice video...♡ from MN

I guess misery loves company because I greatly enjoyed this video since I have a pure Regale that is also a huge b****. I dread repotting it because it almost always dies back to a stump and has to regrow. “The Fiddle Leaf Fig of Anthuriums” is an excellent description. Assuming your little guy lives, it is exciting how quickly they can size up when they get going and are happy where they are. Mine is in ambient humidity, about 40-50% but I had to repot it about 6 months ago and it’s first 2 new leaves just hardened off. So hopefully it can come out of my spare room where I banish the ugly ones until they look nice enough to bring them out to the living room again.
Anywho, thanks for the video. I feel slightly more sane knowing it’s not just me, this plant is just a diva. But if you get one of those enormous veiny leaves that comes out the size of a quarter and expands to be as big as a car tire, it’s hard to throw it away. Happy growing my friend! 🌱

I guess this Regale is a fighter, and just wants to survive (with a little help from yourself, of course) 💪💪I've seen so many people struggle with keeping this plant happy, and I truly hope it can reward you with the time and patience you have given it. I believe you have what it takes to turn this into a success story, so i'm looking forward to positive updates.
