I agree I made a tutorial video on another channel and it ended up going viral a year after posting it and it's had steady views since then. I'm gonna have to come up with more evergreen content

Lots of great information for those with an interest in RUclips and possibly starting a channel. Lots of organizations needed to learn how to stream during lockdown so you got a lot of interest in your webcam video.

For the amount you have on your plate in your life, I think your analytics aren’t too bad. If you have time, may I suggest you do polls in your community for feedback. It may be of great interest to you. I really love your channel. I’ve got so much value from them! (Especially owning a M50II.) Just another quick suggestion if you have time: Check out Channel Makers. Nate is great at explaining analytics and so many other subjects.
Considering it's been 60 days, your channel is in good shape, this is typical analytics of a channel that stopped posting. The inconsistency is the main factor that sticks out and evidence of that is your RUclips Search analytic being your #1 traffic source at the moment. To get suggested, browse etc that is highly influenced by new content being posted. That's not a bad thing at all though, search based content is the foundation of any channel that keep it alive and keep it going. Another thing to look at is a fairly new feature you saw under audience>returning viewers. Basically you want to have the purple line (returning viewers) higher than the blue line (new viewers). At 9:58 you will see evidence of it drifting apart around March but you see from Dec to Jan that purple line was crossing over, that is a good thing. Had you kept posting that momentum most likely would've generated more returning viewers.
In regards to retention in the first 30 seconds, this is the attention span that people have these days, they want front loaded value, you pretty much have to get their attention within the first 8 seconds. For example in your 4K video with the M50, you could show them a quick tip of value, like giving them the dessert first to hook them in. You could also experiment with time stamps, pretty soon YT will be doing it automatically anyway. I can go on and on about analytics, I may not be a huge channel but I love reading analytics. One more tips before this becomes a novel, look at your channels youtube search analytic, click in it and you will see what people are searching for to find your channel. This is good to find topics to double up on or you may even find keywords people are searching for that you didn't even realize.

Hey man. We have been super busy and haven’t been able to get reliable Private duty Nursing for a few months now so I have had zero time to film.
It's interesting to see your stats. My data is pretty similar. I haven't had much luck breaking out of that 2 minute 30 second AVD, lol. I also get most of my traffic from search, though probably a bit more than you do.

Random, but with regards to your CTR, it's 1000% normal for it to drop down to about 3-4% once the video has been up and recommended beyond your subscriber base.

@@SolidBlueBlocks just use the recently released cinematch. really that software cut a lot of post processing works and allow you to almost be able to match a camera with objectively better colour science

crowley, you need to use cinematch. that skin tones in gh5 is horrendous. mixed it so that both of your footage looks like canon m50. or transform all of your footage to alexa lut
i wouldn't suggest it as m50 is an 8 bit footage but a beautiful one at that

My advice is, go back though your old videos and put more ads in. Playing the YT game will get you pushed more. More vids, longer vids, more ads is what YT wants to make money from you.
