best way is the old way. buy property then build one room for shelter, get married then another room when you need it. if you have kids then build another room. etc
Namaskar Anna. Me and Wife are super interested in sustainable houses. We really want to join some pratical sessions so that we can use the knowledge to built our home in our Village in North East. Do let us know how to connect❤
I guess only North K'taka differs immensely from its own Southern K'taka & the rest of South Ind. We usually go with stone houses & limestone and then rely on Shabhad kallu or perci for our roofing (lay them on top on one another to form a flattened triangular arch). interestingly there's a town in Italy that has similar building materials but they construct their houses in cylindrical shapes & their roofs take into a cone form.
Yes. Reset in many ways.. It makes me sad that we aim for life on Mars when we can save this earth .. There will never be life on Mars again. It died out for a reason. Time to move on 😊❤
I would love to make some dome shaped habitats from mud. I have been studying dome structures for some years. Just need the space and a few volunteers.
I tried to make earthbag dome it is really difficult i would not suggest it - also it is not advisable for an area that receives raisn - instead go for cob
People have done it for nothing.. people have done it under $5000. Under $1000.. just depends how fancy you want to to it. There are tip shops that have full windows etc.. so much in this world goes to waste .. Peace to you ❤
Uhmm....all u need is your labour strength.the materials are free.in African villages poor people who can't afford a home in the city just build these and call it a day
Can't we make interlocking BRICKS using Mud , lime and Straw and press them in a MOULD OF INTERLOCKING BRICKS and Sun dry them .I think we can make the House faster,Cheaper .
Good. But it's not much popular because difficult to get a person to organise it as most people doesn't entertain mud houses. I tried my way but nobody support me. I tried to get a contractor for it but doesn't find such firms and which I found are costlier than concrete house. So if you really want to make it popular start a contract firm or entertain those who are ready for that. As an expat I failed to grab a mud house and finished concrete house. I request you to start or support contractor
Very useful information & beautiful sight... My grandparents old house was like this. Many South Indian houses are still like this as I hv seen & stay here & ppl prefer to keep so due to the house's natural cooling method. In North also they have... What a beautiful stay experience it is... Concrete buildings are not eco friendly so it's better to enrich & support mud house which has many more things than concrete houses, to Offer...!!! 🟢💚💚💚
These mud houses 🏘 looks wow to the urban people...but all these type of vedio never talk about maintaining and repair work of these houses which is quite a headache job compared to the concrete houses They may look cool and eco friendly but do you really think this is sustainable in the urban environment...
Depends how much recycled materials you use, and whether you have access to the proper soil around you... Whether you make the bricks by hand or whether you have them made. ❤
They charge only 20 k or so for a 10 day training. It's peanuts for the wealth of knowledge one acquires. I've attended their workshop. It's awesome. A life changing experience. Go for it.
Sir, kindly note that this is their only means of sustaining themselves through the humungous amount of efforts they are putting in to creating awareness about natural building. They do not take on full time projects but only this and great amount of testing ans trials before sharing their learnings. People take loans to build cement homes that serve them 50 off years, or a distance education in an unknown college in the US just for the tag, but Thannals course is a lifetime investment which will make any common person build by themselves and make you a better person in the process. We must honour such institutions and not hold on to the 'money' part. 🙏
20K for learning what you need to build your own sustainable home from local cost efficient materials...how in the world can you say it's too much money?
This is what I call sustainable development. You don't have to bleed your pockets to find a new material and green-wash it. This is it...this is it.👍
best way is the old way. buy property then build one room for shelter, get married then another room when you need it. if you have kids then build another room. etc
