Got my set from Tatget online. Target stores by me had zero haulathon stuff. I used the insert to make a nice scene with the turtle boys standing in front of it and used some crates and a garbage can and some ooze canisters to fill out the scene. Like you I think they should have come with weapons. For $165 incl tax weapons should have been included.
This set is based on the season 3 Usagi Yojimbo episode. They wear the punk outfits from season 1 only Raphael has the brown and Leonardo has the black jacket. Their colors are accurate to that. I assume they went with these Colors since the season 1 episode we couldn’t see Leonardo and the usagi episode has them wearing these outfits for much longer the episode. I’ve always loved the punk outfits. Mostly for the season 1 episode but I appreciate all the nods. I’m just a sucker for the 4 brothers.
@@ToyShiz Yeah, not a 100% match to that jacket, but I think it matches the 80s theme of the other jackets pretty well. I now want a toon Leo in said jacket. These are gonna be my first NECA toon turtles, I've also got the pizza club ones on the way. I just love the extrahead sculpts, and the accessories are something out of the ordinary.
I too like you absolutely love the tmnt cartoon line,but was gutted that this year everything we got was different iterations of characters we already had. from business suit Cassey to the punk turtles to every usagi yojimbo. evil rex. on that note just wanna say love the channel, keep doing what your doing, and until next time...
The paint is just too overwhelming and hinders the movement. NECA changed the game with the 1990 movie figures. Some of the cartoon figures just suck , break easily and are just too cheap. Maybe they should just make statue figures without articulation. Hopefully BST AXN gets better with their molds and quality control. Super 7 is excellent but they should have a change to do the cartoon line also not just playmate imitations. I mean the scale of the megabloks tmnt figures have more accuracy and better articulation than NECA figures. Agree these figures are just not necessary. The paint just needs to calm down and just go with colored plastic.
