I paid for tha Van a year and a halg ago and got it a few weeks ago. I paid about 3 month ago for the lair and couldn't believe when peoplw said it was shipping, just got mine today without any email from neca, but I got happy I got mine without any problems
I plan on using the cardboard box, that the Turtle van came in, to become my TMNT lair. I'll just make some adjustments and additions to that. Ain't no way I was gonna spend $300 on the lair... even more when factoring in shipping and tax.

But no f'ing way was I gonna spend $300+ for that thing! Even when Trevor was going around forever mentioning the $250 price, that was still $50;too much.

I too thought the sewer layer was overpriced by $50. I thought it was gonna be 249.. but I bought it anyway and I don’t regret it. I’m a completist though.😂😂😂
I like watching this video, I still have mine boxed 😂😂 van & 2 sewers, (I almost didn’t buy the lairs) but I’m paralyzed & doing one myself is no option. So $299 seemed fair for me. This vans cool , especially if you have been keeping up with these guys. But it seems delicate but falls in line with the other figures. You can pose em’ but you don’t wanna toss them around. Like 3D art. Super 7s van was double the price but looks more durable & looks awesome. Did you get 1?

I got 2 nervously but à must for nuts collecting the toon line. But I don’t think I’ll buy any more because these are huge
took me some time but got splinter sitting in the chair in mine. I didnt like the price and the fact you had to buy the accessory set as well to get all the needed items. I am glad I bought it now after getting it setup. I think the Van is great to. I keep thinking about adding the black cartoon lines on mine as its missing that look.

I'm glad I have it, but the price was killer, especially since a key part of the set was locked in an accessory set so, to me, the overall price was well over 450 after tax and shipping and all. The TV, VHS, and game console should have all come with the lair. But I was getting both anyway for the rest of the set. NECA needs to figure out how to do a free shipping option on their site.
@@WiGgYof09 Yea I was like $430 something with both sets. The TV and such should have 100% came with the lair. Sucks they did that to force you to spend another $70. I really only used the TV and the game system from the set. The rest i left in the box and put away.
They should have had a punch out for the manhole cover and water grate on that top piece. Then have a plastic insert for each opening as a way to let light in from the top with the manhole cover being removable. Then have a optional insert for the bottom of the manhole, so that when it's open. It could either go right into the sewer or have the insert with the eyes looking back out. Either way, at least it sounds like it could be modular. That cost tho..
If I was wealthy like that, I'd like to send you a toon street scene dio. You know, just so you could add a few more layers to that doll house. The lair does look f'ing gorgeous, but didn't have the money, nor could justify the price.
ToyShiz, the van could of used more cell shading. I still smh on the lack of it as it was part of the animated line. The street scene did have options to customize for animation or movie(depending on which you bought). That is what Neca should of included as part of the 'van package deal. Animated style windows at least that were pop and swop. It is fantastic otherwise. The lair I had to pass on funny enough I do have the street scene 😅. A bonanza of reviews! When they will finally stop remaking 80s turtles? We already have hundreds of their variant and they are so damn overrated! Is it so hard for toymakers to get out of their egg shell and for once make Turtles from 2003 show or 2007 movies? Or is it the "Ohh it is 80s-90s awesome (even if the product is not awesome or strait up shit) everyone must love it!" and "Ohh it is early 2000-s hate it or forget it even if it is good!" ?
Absolutely! That's why I'm getting the Raman Toys M.U.S.K. I can get a toon _and_ movie deco version for not much more than the price of one of NECAs. And whenever Ace puts out the accessory packs, I'll get them. Not only is everything cheaper, but more playability, more detailing, better quality...and it's all coming from a tiny company with a very small MOQ. So no feeding that greedy corporate machine capitalizing on a hot property.

So even with all that added up, it's still less money, a better product (and this is coming from a NECA mark), and the profit margin for the company is minuscule with far less being produced.
