"The Melody Within - Rigoletto Medley" is a special arrangement of the songs in the "Rigoletto" movie. We arranged this for a children's play that is being performed this summer and decided to post it on our channel. We hope you enjoy it:)
Look... I don't know if you're goona see this, but you need to know- this soundtrack means the world to me. When I was a kid, my brothers and I would watch this movie all the time with my mom. We loved it. She loved it. Never knew what the story was actually telling, or just how deep it was, or how important the message. Fast forward a couple of years and we had a house fire. My eldest brother and grandparents died, and over time, my mother lost her sanity due to the event. I wound up in foster care. One of the only actually fond memories of my childhood that I still have, that isn't effected by the blight of that house fire, was watching this movie. Name your price, my friends. I would give anything to have you all do a song by song cover of each one. It would literally mean the world to me. Please. Fans, please upvote this so they see this. It's that important.
I got a free copy of the vhs as a little kid, took it home, and fell in love. I was five. I used to run around singing these songs all the time. I sang it to my little sister too when she'd get antsy on a long road trip when she was two. So many memories. Every year or so I have to go pull up the songs and relive them.
I discovered a vhs of this movie tucked away downstairs when I was young, and I read the back of the case over and over, re-finding it every few years and relishing the hint of story on the cover. Eventually, in my late teens, it occurred to me that I ought to watch it. So I did. And I fell in love overarching tale, which I must not spoil. Finding this recording brought back so many memories... I could even pick out some places where it seems you added a line or two to one part or the other! I must watch it again now... Both this song and the movie...
Wow, who would've ever guessed this would be on y'all's radar? My grandmother absolutely loved this movie, and I remember watching it at her house when I was a kid. I've got to show her this!
I loved this movie growing up as a child and I always wanted to sing these songs. This is a wonderful contemplation that made me remember all the wonderful things about this movie. Thank you all so much for making it!
The movie version of Rigoletto was my four daughters favorite growing up and they (&I) rewatched it multiple times over the years and memorized all the songs. I truly leapt for joy this morning when I saw the song you were singing this month, immediately cast the song to my television, cranked it loud and then sat and I balled my head off. Truly a powerful story and a powerful song, and you knocked it out of the ballpark. And the message in the song needs to be heard badly right now. You have a very good knack for singing what people need to hear, if they would only listen! Thank you, thank you, thank you! God bless you all!
I was listening to you on Spotify for your LOTR music and this caught me eye and I thought "surely they mean the opera..." To my DELIGHT it was the movie. I have never come across this film organically or spoken to a person who knows this film. It's one of my favourites of all time. THANK YOU for bringing these wonderful songs into the modern world for hopefully some new people to discover. ❤
This really takes me back... I recognized the tune immediately, and looking closer at the art made me realize what it was from. It has been so many years since I saw Rigoletto. Thank you!
Oh my goodness! This was one of my favorite movies growing up. My sister's and I used to sing this song all the time. Thank you for bringing up those memories.
So I love this movie - so much good stuff in it... and... 😢... 😭😭😭😭😭... 😢 I waited too long to listen to this... I really needed this right now. Thank you so much for doing this.
Man, it's been forever since I've watched that movie. I'm quite sure my memory of it is better than it actually is, but now I want to watch it again (along with a bunch of other FFF movies like Picture Perfect and Walking Across Egypt).
Well done! Rigoletto has been one of my family favorites as long as I can remember. Thanks for giving this film more exposure. Now you should make cover songs for "Dear April Child," and "Let me in."
So glad that you did an arrangement of this! I loved these songs growing up, but there weren't any nice covers to listen to until now! Thank you❤️ As others have mentioned, I also would be interested in song by song covers of each of the film's songs, including April Child and Let Me In.
Oh my goodness, I never expected THIS to show up on your channel! I’ve loved this song and movie since I was a little kid and hearing you do a cover of it-a great one!-is a surprise treat!
When i first heard this song on this channel, I had to double check who was singing it, not their usual stuff but Now i can't get enough of this Song, Hearing it is causing me to look into the "Rigoletto" Play or Opera trying to see when the next time it plays. This Band, Once you listen to one of their songs, you'll be hooked to their music for quite sometime
This is actually not from the opera, Rigoletto; it's from a movie made by Feature Films for Families of the same name. The stories are quite a bit different but all based on a Beauty and the Beast theme. I believe that is the connection.
When I saw "Rigoletto medley", my first thought was the opera :D. I don't know the film, though my wife did mention reading the book it's based on. Gorgeous arrangement as always, though not my favourite of the stuff you've done (the fear not this night you did for a similar children's play was amazing). if you're doing old arrangements of film songs, ever considered doing the theme to the 1982 film flight of dragons? Its definitely one that's been crying out for a remake, especially an epic fantasy remake.
I learned the whole lore of the Rigoletto opera in order to understand this song. Then I figured out it has nothing to do with the opera Rigoletto ! 0/5 will never read about opera again :(
What a bitter regretful tragedy is Rigoletto. Literally having a dad gloating over the body he thinks belongs to his foe... And then opening the bag to find the corpse of his own daughter murdered in place of the very man he wished killed, all the while the before mentioned guy (which the daughter deeply loved) is singing about the moody and vain nature of women.
@@sagittarius1343 Thank you very much for this! I should've figured that "The Rigoletto" I was talking about couldn't be a family feature film. I clicked your link right away and watched the movie for the very first time ever. It's heartwarming, poetic, charming and humble and it's got beautiful, lovely music. Now I know why the CDP chose to make a cover out of its soundtrack. Thank you again and be blessed.

I spent 5 minuts trying to understand where it came from XDXD really lovely though

Godspeed, brother.

My music teacher gave me the VHS for this movie. She wanted me to sing Let Me In. I fell in love with it instantly. Well done my friends!

My family and I absolutely loved this movie. Thanks for taking me back. Amazing job as always!
One of Focus on the Family's few real gems. I have performed The Curse for people before. I am a baritone to basso profundo.
So I love this movie - so much good stuff in it... and...
😢... 😭😭😭😭😭... 😢
I waited too long to listen to this...

When are you guys gonna cover that oldest and truest of Dwarf ballads, Diggy Hole?
Oldest and truest?? By my beard! How do you speak thus?
♪♪I AM A DWARF AND IM DIGGING A HOLE! DIGGY DIGGY HOLE! DIGGY DIGGY HOLE!♪♪
I'd forgotten about this movie. Beautiful singing!
This brings back good memories.

Wow! I’m so impressed with the voices in this song! Thanks for sharing it with us!
This was one of my favorite movies as a kid. What a nice surprise!
There is something about your voices that gives me goosebumps. Keep up the amazing work guys!❤️
Well done! Rigoletto has been one of my family favorites as long as I can remember. Thanks for giving this film more exposure. Now you should make cover songs for "Dear April Child," and "Let me in."
Some of your best songs are the ones you pull up from seemingly nowhere and make beautiful. I've never heard of this before, but it's quite nice.

Utterly new to me -- and utterly delightful.
Finally another song and it sounds like it's starting good, good job!
Truly adored the movie, and I must say you have done right by the music. Bravo Good Sirs and Miss!!!!

i loved this movie as a kid
Just goes to show how talented you guys are. This is beautiful! I am now inclined to learn about this movie.
this was my wife's favorite movie as a child.
Guys, have you considered making Tolkien's "You and me" from the lost tales into a song? When I read it I instantly thought of you!
I'm so excited you guys did this! This is one of my faborite movies!
We need a diggy hole remix from Clamavi.
Beautiful! What a lovely arrangement!

Mine too, but the libretto wouldn't be probably considered good for child's play...
Here's the film, a worthwhile watch: ruclips.net/video/CQ_k_j7vF9A/видео.html
Beautiful and calming song. Good job!
This is a new one to me. Very nicely done!
I love Rigoletto!
I hope they do the curse from Rigoletto
Thank you for another amazing video!
This was a surprise-I’ve got the soundtrack on my old iPod! Terrific recording!
Beautiful work.
Another song?!
(pleasantly surprised)
Who draw that picture? It looks Beautiful.😍
I thought I was one of the few people to even know this movie exists!
One day I would love to see a behind the scenes video of you all making your music
Just wow !
Спасибо за великолепные произведения. Восхищен перепевками стихов Толикина, но прочие не уступают. Спасибо
very beatiful
I think I vaguely remember this movie...
Ya know, I wonder what’s next for Mordaar after he found Negankerdak.
How come I’ve never heard of this or the movie before?!?!?
Well done! I am not familiar with this at all, but I think I will look into it since you dedicated your monthly song to it. Thank you!
You express my sentiments perfectly. It seems other people remember this movie fondly, but I've never heard of it.
It's a good film
ruclips.net/video/CQ_k_j7vF9A/видео.html Not Verdi's Rigoletto, but this one.
Beautiful
Beautiful💐
You both sound like a Disney prince and princess
Awesome song :) who did the artwork in the video?
You guys did not have to go this hard, but you did and it’s better than it has any right to be, now if only Disney was based enough to hire you.
Disney has gone down a very dark path. If they hired Clamavi de Profundis I would be concerned about the character of the family now
"Have you ever heard the phrase, 'Curiosity killed the cat'?"
"I ain't a cat. Let's go."
I discovered this channel recently, and I love your work !
Could you consider making a cover of Enae volare ?
Thanks a lot !
Im seriously second? I know nobody cares, but I've never been this early to anything 😃
Never heard of this movie/play or whatever... Any volunteers to tell me about it?
