Agreed. I was way early for the apex. Had a 3.2L 914 coming up so fast, that looking in the rear view threw me off. Was happy to have kept it off that inside wall!
It's great to see some track time this early in the year. At least it's early in the North-East. :-) I think I might have to make Lime Rock a to-do on my list of tracks to visit. -Jason
IMO, you missed the apex by a car width. That forced you wide on exit. As you went off you had to get the car straight, but didn't. You still had steering lock on, so the left rear was still loaded. When it hit the grass, with less traction and the fronts still turned in... instant oversteer and a spin. Real good lesson here. When you go off in grass, wheels straight, let the car settle, then pull back on. Lucky! Many a cars wrecked in exactly that way with a spin into the inside guardrail.
ha ha ha ha ha. nice video! What a close call! Man, I love that track, hopefullly I will have the chance to drive on it sometime soon.
The way you were consistently early on the uphill, I was SURE that's where the spin was gonna happen! Glad there was no major damage.
Ha ha ha ha.. man, that was a close call! Good drivin tho. What a great track, I hope I get the chance to drive on it in the near future! :-)

There's actually a rubber pad between the camera and the bar. It helps, but still throws the mic off.

Have you tried setting it up with something soft in between whatever attaches it to the car and the camera?
HOLY SHIT! How close was that white to you after you spun? :O
Yeah, audio is a problem with the camera. Chassis noise transmits directly through the bar and overloads the mic.
REALLY close! The white 914 passed just inches off my bumper! At 3:30 you can see it. I Emailed the driver a high res picture after
Hmmm... USE MORE!!!! :D
