68 was definitely my favorite year for this body style, and kudos to the restorer for spending some time aligning the headlamp doors, that front end looks great!
In my humble opinion, this is the most beautiful full-size body of the 1960s (or any decade). What a sleek profile ... and what a loving restoration!!! Thanks for sharing.
As a teenager I bought a red 68 Galaxie fastback, black interior from the owner of a local funeral home owner. Fifty dollars . Repaired a rusted out frame and many small repairs gave me a fantastic car. What a beautiful ride.
Really nice. One Ford Motor Company best designs of the 1960's. The level of detail on car's restoration is great. I love cars from the 1960's and 1970' s.
I really like the Magnum 500 wheels with whitewall tries. It's period correct. Those wheels covers are much too conservative for that car. The wheels make the car really pop!
1st car for me back in 76. Maroon with black carpet and white seats. It was a 68 Galaxie 500 XL. I wish I would have had the money to treat it properly back then. Sweet ride.
It is so rare to see galaxies. Earlier yes, but late 60s are hard to find. Which is odd vs. Impalas. Few people make parts for big Ford's so this must be a very hard resto.
i can't imagine restoring this stunning XL without adding power windows...Ford had power window kits since 1956 for all its T birds and carried them over to all their cars...and using the black vinyl top was a bad choice tho i get that is about all they used in 1965-1969 the better choice would have been a more coordinating colour for the top to make a uniformed look with the body colour.
This car has elements of 4 different cars, the fastback roof of the 65 mustang, the rear quarter window of the 69 mustang, the hidden headlight grill the 68 charger used but the mesh came from the thunderbird, and the body line that kinks over the back wheel like it does on the 70’s challenger!!!! Very underestimated this car is!!!!!! I reckon it would look Stink as with big tyres a 429 boss and lowered, mate sex on wheels!!!!!!! Love it!!!!
I can't stop myself from starring at those hashtags on the fender and how you didn't even measure the driver side properly, the angle is completely off from the passenger side.... otherwise looks great.
OMG! The music was so freakin Gay that I started thinkin about gettin highlights put in my hair. How about some “normal” music next time? Good job on that Ford though. 👍

I agree 100%
This year model was one of the most beautiful orig. designs Ford HAD EVER produced. The restoration looks like an amazing accomplishment.
Awesome restoration

WOW, this had to be a family car to obtain this kind of a restoration. Never seen an XL getting this kind of love. Its nice!

God those cars had presence. What a beautiful job.
good job and faithful to the original
Brilliant restoration!
Good job, the restoration of this car is a better idea
Beautiful ! Love it
outstanding! thanks for sharing!
Nice restoration job on this Ford Fastback, although I prefer the original hub caps, but the mags are ok as well.
Excellent resto....
This is love ! 👏👏👏👏
Looks good at 1:48, but I would've put those huge mag-style factory 'Ford' wheelcovers, and the red line tires. Other than that, spot-on!

interesting design for the machine!😮👏
I like that they show a beautiful and restored Galaxy, and in the back there is Sebring with a regular muzzle😂
Quedó chingon
Awesome restoration. I don’t know where you got the Galaxie script but there is no such model. XL and Galaxie were separate models from 1967 and on.
Client asked us to put the logo there, taken from a 1968 Galaxie 500
Richard Ruggieri its a Galaxie XL

I had 1966 Galaxie 500 XL power blue exterior and interior black vinyl top.
Those cars were usually referred to as a Galaxie 500 XL. The XL was a sporty trim line for the 2 door Galaxie 500
I don't like Ford's but that's a nice car my dad had a wagon like that.
I have to ask...did you manage to find or rebuild the original vacuum headlamp door system, or did you convert it to electric motors?
L💝ove!
Wonderful

Chulisimo!

We did what the client wanted.
Robb Rogers Hey Robb!
........ Shut the Hell up!!!
@@NetcongAutoRest Thank you for not "improving" the car!
Looking for 68 Ford station wagon 10 seater.
Wow!!!

It's perfect just like. A period correct restoration. I prefer a vintage car like this one. No big wheels, please.
never showed the frame on all 68 fords the frames are bad
Wrong wheels. Carpet & the piece under the grill should be silver.. My 1st Car in 1968
I can't stop myself from starring at those hashtags on the fender and how you didn't even measure the driver side properly, the angle is completely off from the passenger side.... otherwise looks great.
Tom Gacek Wow they are way off! That would drive me nuts if it were mine.
Educate them.

And in America we renovate a hood without removing such simple things as emblems, same shitty work on rest of car? Overhauled = Overpainted
